I think kuyt should start for this one, united are very dangerous down the flanks and he provides more defensive cover. I have serious doubts about whether Suarez will start, if he does not I'd like to see Carroll up front with Stevie g behind him in an advanced midfield role with Lucas and Adam further behind.

    ------------------reina-------------------
    ----Kelly----carra------skrtel-------Enrique--
    ----kuyt-----Lucas-----adam------Bellamy---
    --------------------gerrard----------------
    -------------------Carroll---------------------

Think Bellamy deserves a start if he's fit and up for it! If Suarez plays I would go 4-4-2 and have h next to carroll with gerrard playing beside Lucas and downing on the left.

      Unbelievable isn't it?

We only had 7 games in this new season and this will be the second break due to national teams engagements

Yeah it's absolutely ludicrous, and considering that several of our players we're involved all summer in the Copa.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It just makes such a huge difference to our target for this season, win and we are right amongst it, and will have had a great start to the season. Lose and it's an average start.
                Absolutely.

I'd be a lot more confident if I knew Agger, Gerrard and Suarez were starting. However Skrtel has done a decent job in deputising, and Suarez is a heck of an option from the bench.

I'm pretty certain Gerrard will start.

Just wish the next week+ was over and done with - can't wait for this one.

I worry about that too, long flight back and an early kick off aren't a good combination, presumably Lucas would be in a similar position, if they are able to start it's questionable whether they will be at their best, and both are key players for us.

Kuyt has to start, and after his cameo in the derby I'd be tempted to stick Bellamy in the side, especially if Suarez doesn't start.

What happens if it is a draw?

How would you classify our start in that case?

Compared to what? What's the data set? Above average for LFC club over the last few seasons, above average for all Premiership teams this season, above average compared to our chief rivals for fourth place, or what?

Be more specific, man, and do it quickly, before someone picks an argument with you.

                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I said in the eberton prediction thread that this is where carroll starts and he did and he will score against the scum too

                            who is the ref though?

Can't decide whether I'm looking forward to this one or not.

Generally it's an instrument of torture, but on the other hand, I'm looking forward to Luis reprising his performance from last year.

I was precisely interpolating between pablo's two points of reference on his scale. I should have made that clearer.
