Tbh I've been enjoying it, thinking we've played well just have let ourselves down at key moments. As said, I don't like Downing, he doesn't play like a player with confidence, he needs to want the ball. Think this games definitely there for the taking. Defending has been good, really liked Enrique, one or two **** ups, but otherwise he's been class his strength is incredible.

Take Lucas off and replace with Carroll. Drop Gerrard back and give Luis some support.

Loving enrique apart he's a little too complacent at times and can get caught out. Luis is brilliant but one on ones are not his thing. He's move instinctive and given time he usually picks the wrong option. We have to get into them more and test the keeper. Bellamy should be on soon as well.

I'm fearful that as we chase the game, they'll throw on Valencia, Nani & Rooney and we could get caught on the break. Hate these games.

I don't think Kenny will be too unhappy but it's so far so good for united. Pity Suarez didn't bury that chance. He really should have hit it first time but brought it onto his bad foot for some reason.

We've got some quality delivery's into the box but it's been pointless with no one in there.

United came here with a plan. Try to slow down our rhythm and passing, which they have managed to do on the whole. They have Rooney and Nani on the bench for their plan B. We haven't been able to get going much, started to play a bit better after 25mins or so. Skrtel and Enrique have both been excellent. Stevie is feeling his way back to fitness and hasn't been able to get into the game too much. I think we've played a quite rigid 4-4-2 with Stevie on the right and Downing swapping positions with him.

i agree that downing has been disappointing today. the other thing is that he doesnt seem to have any understanding with enrique whatsoever whereas bellamy and enrique look like they've been playing together for years.

I would switch suarez with kuyt with dirk playing up top and luis playing off him from the right. I would think about taking adam off and bringing on henderson to sit with lucas in midfield allowing gerrard to push on.

theyve obviously got a very good bench and they can turn the game but we need to press the ball much more and put them under pressure in midfield.

Not sure why stevie is playing so far wide right. he should be in the middle linking up with downing and suarez.

Finding some of the comments on here a bit odd, I thought we've played pretty well against a defensively setup ManU team. Midfield's been very packed, no surprise really that the game has been scrappy in parts but we've had a few decent attacks and easily the best chance of the half.

I'm quite pleased that Ferguson actually seems to be worried enough about us to set his team out the way he has. Bit of a backhanded compliment IMO.

He has been absolutely atrocious, honestly, I don't understand what he did today to justify any sort of approval.

Lucas's passing has been poor but usually I'd keep him on as he adds protection, but that booking means he is almost certain to get a red. With that in mind we need to be proactive and don't give the ref a chance to ruin us.

If Rooney and Nani come on, this will open up the game a bit more. Quite hard to go behind their full backs at the moment. Ferdinand has been playing well I think, their best player in that first half.

Skrtel playing excellent.....Enrique doing well, but does need to wake up every now and then. Passing has been very poor at times from the midfield and full-backs in spells.
Bit concerned if we haven't gained the upper hand in the first 15mins of the 2nd half

Lucas has been away in Brazil and has picked up a yellow card so he'd be the one to make way for me instead of Adam.
