It can't be really considering that 7 other teams have conceded 9 goals or less in what must be from more shots on goal than us, so apparently we don't have to good a record there. Also thinking the Spurs game where everything went wrong have been harsh on that statistic.

I'm not too fussed with the selection provided Downing doesn't start. I don't like him, not because he doesn't have decent ability, because he does because I don't think he has any confidence in himself. He hasn't really done anything in the last few weeks to justify starting. No assists and no goals, says it all really.

I don't think it does really. Look at the crosses he provided for Kuyt and Henderson last week for example. Can't blame Downing for the finishing.

TBF not sure there is any more Kuyt could have done with his effort and his all-round contribution was poor.

I think the defensive system work excellent but the players isn't good enough play it. They make to many big mistakes.

Almost every time we concede a goal it is because a big defensive mistake by Carra or Skrtel. They are great for 85 minutes or so but the rest of the minutes is something you want to forget about.

I think he'll have a good game today and maybe get a goal. Personally I'd like to see him dropped for Bellamy but this could be a good opportunity for him to build some confidence so I can see why Kenny might persevere.

He is, but I don't think he is doing enough to create imo and as others have pointed out he is often one dimensional in his approach.
