In many ways there are positives. Nice build up at time, good quick passing, we are good at creating half chances.

However our defence is soft - and I'm including everybody on the pitch today.

And we need a clinical finisher.

Oh and I'm worried about some if our tactics and formation.

gerrard and adam in a midfield 2 ? who's going to track back and win the ball back. Not one of them has put in a serious shift in the last few seasons defensively and all of a sudden we expect them to play as 2 dynamic midfield players.

gerrards come back from injury and adam just cant cut it defensively at this level. formation doesnt suit the players we have, and teams come to anfield knowing we can be got at.

come january we need to spend a bucket load on a midfield enforcer like tiote and bollocks to the rest.

saying all that if suarez could score goals we should be out of sight by now. for someone that scored 49 goals in the dutch league his finishing is pretty poor.

Carra and Skrtel should never again play together, never. What the **** is Agger doing on the bench when he is fit to play?

He is our best defender by a mile and simply must play when fit, no ifs or buts about it. Kenny got that thing 100% wrong.

Adam that can't last a full game and no match fit Gerrard simply can't boss the midfield. Norwich took Gerrard out of the game in the second half and our attacking play disappeared until Henderson entered.

Yes, we dominated big parts of the game but Kenny can't get the thumbs up after this game. Not a great game by him.

We had one goal threat on the pitch when we started the game, one. Not two or three, one. Suarez can't do everything himself.

As I said, not a good game by Kenny, not a good game at all.

Luis is great in terms of creating goalscoring chances for himself but he is lackin' clinical finish.

The problem it is pretty much the only way we created any chances.

Adam and Gerrard actually lost midfield in the second half. Adam needs to learn to let the ball go instead of losing it in critical areas. Think we might have wasted a pile of money on Downing. He was rubbish tonight. A winger who can't beat a man, what is the point. at this point I'd be putting Maxi on the wing. Dirk was awful too. His first touch killed us. Our defence is shaky. Maybe we need to give Coates and Agger a few games together. A lot of missed chances. Can't believe I'm saying this but we need to buy a finisher in January. Gutted.

not a good game though it is fairly plain to see if we had a more clinical striker on the pitch we would have been out of site and norwich would have given up.

now a clinical striker is going to cost a lot of money and be hard to find.

Hernandez (£7 million) - Mexican - would have come on, have zero attempts on goal and leave with at least one goal to his name. Carroll - English - gets given a gilt edge chance and is 3 feet taller yet misses. How is it his fault?
