I was fine with Hendo and Carroll coming in but to take Bellamy and Downing out I couldn't get that.

Fully agree, Adam and Gerrard were clearly losing it in the middle of the park, Gerrard more than Adam, and he would have been the one to get subbed for Henderson imo.

Sick of hearing that expression at this club. Managers change, owners change, players change yet we still can't beat truly **** teams like Norwich. ****ing disgraceful.

We are a mile away from where we want to be, and i'm not even sure we're on the right track, or even that we've bought players capable of putting us on it.

Poor, but its not the end of the world. We really do need to buck our ideas up soon this season though.

Downing on the right is madness. I'm not convinced about him (or at least, about his fee), but he's half the player when he's stuck on the wrong side.

Adam, I'm just not convinced about full stop, especially in a 2 man midfield with no holding player. Decent on the ball but without it...

Bellamy had a good first half, though I'd much rather see him upfront than on the left.

Very suprised Carroll didn't start. £35m does look utterly insane at the moment for the return we're getting (whether that's his fault or not).

We looked really jittery at the back. And we're far too wasteful upfront.

i just think its because charlie adam cant tackle or close down people quick enough to win the ball back. when you've got a passenger in midfield and youve got to get the ball back its nearly impossible. Our central midfield is rubbish when we dont have the ball - god the days of alonso and mascherano are long gone.

kenny bought adam and probably feels obliged to play him but i wouldnt. Today he should have played henderson in midfield instead with gerrard.

Tell you what boys, if kenny doesnt qualify for the CL he'll be out and rafa will be back in. At this rate, we dont look like a top 4 team.

One of those days, keeper error, couple of amazing saves from them, and we looked dangerous throughout the game ... not ideal but except for Charlie getting cleaned out in the box ... no complaints ... they are a good side and today we were not good enough to beat them... the world continues to turn ...YNWA

gerrard and adam in a midfield 2 ? who's going to track back and win the ball back. Not one of them has put in a serious shift in the last few seasons defensively and all of a sudden we expect them to play as 2 dynamic midfield players.

gerrards come back from injury and adam just cant cut it defensively at this level. formation doesnt suit the players we have, and teams come to anfield knowing we can be got at.

come january we need to spend a bucket load on a midfield enforcer like tiote and bollocks to the rest.

saying all that if suarez could score goals we should be out of sight by now. for someone that scored 49 goals in the dutch league his finishing is pretty poor.

It definitely didn't work.

Adam cannot play the role of defensive minded mid and we paid hefty today because of it.

He is too slow to close down and too slow to play one two touch passing.

He takes so long to get rid of the ball that is so painful to watch.

He is the one I worry about.

Tiote I mentioned many times as the one we should've gone after as he is exactly what we need.

In many ways there are positives. Nice build at time, good quick passing, we are good at creating half chances.

However our defence is soft - and I'm including everybody on the pitch today.

And we need a clinical finisher.

Oh and I'm worried about some if our tactics and formation.

Worrying.

If we had a Torres of 2 years ago we would of won easily but we don't so we need to adapt and maybe its down to formation or just the players we have
but this is the 1st time this season I've been seriously pissed of at a match and not just disappointed if that makes sense

not a good game though it is fairly plain to see if we had a more clinical striker on the pitch we would have been out of site and norwich would have given up.

now a clinical striker is going to cost a lot of money and be hard to find.

£35m would probably have been enough.

442 is dead - steve clarke who is shrewd guy needs to tell kenny this pretty quickly or we'll keep getting outplayed like we were in the second half.
