    The talk of a poacher is spot on. Someone that sits (not literally ) in the box i.e. Fowler,Rush, even dare i say it Owen. The likes of Rossi or Gomez seems good options IMO, Rossi for me woul dbe perfect.

        Carroll is the player we should be looking at to be the poacher. But he's a long way from being there at the moment.

                he should be taking a leaf out of Mario Gomez book. Similiar in stature and the attributes but yet Gomez is a fox in the box, not pretty but certainly effective and is playing to his strengths.

                  Mate, I'm not after Kenny's blood here, but the positive attitude thing only goes so far. Our players need to be cleverer, fitter and have the right frame of mind. But on top of that, our manager needs to not only know what our strengths and weaknesses are, but also research the opposition to know their strength and weaknesses.

                  Nostalgia broaches only one of the above traits.

                      I don't think another striker is a must. I think more pace and movement is a must.

                      I see a new Xabi as more important. A player that can dictate the tempo and deliver both in attack and defence. A dominant midfielder. We don't have that.

                            Well you would hope that a fully fit Gerrard could provide that link in midfield.

                            Thing is mate, we "are" creating chance but we are just not taking them, that is the problem. A clinical goal poacher IMO is the answer to that. Well either that or Suarez finds the net more Or someone actually bothers to step up and not leaveit all for Suarez to do.

                              I wonder how much scouting Kenny is doing? How many hours before every game that he look at videos and clips etc?

                              That is a big part of a managers work today. If you don't do it then you will be found out.
