He's just turned 21 and he's new not just to the club, not just to the city, not just to the country, not even just to the continent, he's new to the ****ing hemisphere!Originally posted by Arn View PostCoates isn't a youngster FFS. He already proved that he is a top class player. You clearly don't know how much competition he was up against being voted the best young player in Copa America.
The only problem as I see it is that he need to play games. He is already good enough.
He looks really good so far but give him a while to settle in, etc..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Have you ever seen one of our players create so many chances on his own?Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Post
you are on some serious illegal substances my friend.
My answer would be no. Not even Rush, Owen or Fowler at their best created as many chances as Suarez do.
He creates a bucket load of them in every game. He could have had five or six today, again. He could easily have scored 10+ goals in the last two games alone.Stop the cyberhate

I have never watched a non european game in my life and I'm proud to say it.
So I'll have to take your word for the fact that the quality of the copa america is literally from another planet. the perms are huge and their tackles even larger.

Yep, its just what happens, hopefully he doesnt reach Gary Neville stage before he packs it in as we dont have the benefit of refs favouring us in every single game.Originally posted by cream View PostI don't think it's worrying, he's had a good innings. I think we could be more settled at the back without him, I think other players feel uncomfortable around him.

He has had a good innings and is a legend. I'm sure that he will want to carry on but he seems to play with a fearful look in his eyes these days, if I'm honest.Originally posted by cream View PostI don't think it's worrying, he's had a good innings. He still needs to be shown respect from the fans regardless of whether or not he's up to the grade now. He's been a fantastic servant to LFC

well of course they didn't they were totally different types of player. I do remember Dalglish and he was better than Suarez and he wasn't such a drama queen. Plus a certain Peter Beardsley used to create some lovely goals. BUT if Suarez stays for 10 years then I'd expect him to have reached the heights you think he can.Originally posted by Arn View PostHave you every seen one of our players creates so many chances on his own?

There's no way Suarez is going to be at Liverpool at the start of the 2014/15 season, no way at all. For that reason he'll never reach legendary status, his eyes are firmly on a move to Spain before he reaches his prime.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postwell of course they didn't they were totally different types of player. I love him at the moment though, just realistic that it's a whirlwind romance
