Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

He likes to adopt a 'them and us' attitude. It brings together his team. He is ****ing way off an Carragher though. But I bet he doesnt get called for essentially saying the ref was BiasOriginally posted by Chris View PostCarra sent off for that? It was the most nailed on booking ever, no yellow would have been ridiculous and a red would have been ridiculous. Seems he's forgotten the stonewall pens we should have aswell and Glen Whelan mauling Spearing when he was already on a yellow.*Except Michael, who died.

in there first half - we had a corner - and shawcross was mauling carroll....about three times the referee stopped play and had a word with shawcross.....Me and my mate commented, "he'll give a penalty to us here" as he clearly was watching shawcross....Shawcross, again gets a hold of caroll, and the second the corner was hit, the referee blows his whistle.....straight away i thought he's given the pen! - no...he gave a free kick to stoke - it was bewildering......
Now i'm not suggesting we should have had a penalty at all - but given the context of what had gone on before it it just seemed very strange -
a) he blew up the second the ball was hit, and there was no clear foul from a liverpool player yet he awarded stoke a free kick?
b) he had already warned stoke players two or three times prior to the corner, but not one liverpool player?? yet when the corner is taken, lets just say a liverpool player commited a foul....isn't that a bit harsh and favouring Stoke? - he let three stoke fouls off with a warning, and then don't give liverpool one chance!
so **** off pulis you cunti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I said he should have given a penalty there too, if you've warned someone a couple of times, and as soon as you walk away they do it again you should just let the corner be taken and straight away award a penalty, otherwise what's the point?Originally posted by PTP View Postin there first half - we had a corner - and shawcross was mauling carroll....about three times the referee stopped play and had a word with shawcross.....Me and my mate commented, "he'll give a penalty to us here" as he clearly was watching shawcross....Shawcross, again gets a hold of caroll, and the second the corner was hit, the referee blows his whistle.....straight away i thought he's given the pen! - no...he gave a free kick to stoke - it was bewildering......

so **** off pulis you cuntThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I suppose it might depend on whether the ball was in play or not at the time but it is odd how often referees favour defenders like that..

To be fair Dalglish has been going on about the decision we have be awarded and not a great deal of late. I think all managers now feel they have to whinge just to get a level playing field. Which is sad and pointless - I blame Fergusson myself.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostPulis has got a ****ing cheek whinging like he is doing. **** off you cunt."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

The back end of last season was the best football we've played since 2009. And that was mainly due to the Lucas, Spearing, Meireles, Kuyt, Maxi and Suarez combo.

I think the point is that Pulis's teams are snappy, fouling, squeezed pitch anti-football and so it's a bit rich coming from himOriginally posted by dww View PostTo be fair Dalglish has been going on about the decision we have be awarded and not a great deal of late. I like Maxi but dont think he done that much and Downing would be getting hammered if he'd put in a similar performance. He should be involved more though.
Some signings need time, Man City fans were calling Milner ****e and a mercenary last season now he's brilliant and a beast. Same with Kolarov and Dzeko.

Maxi & Suarez seem to have a great raport which drags the rest of the team in to the game. Together they encourage a passing ethos, putting opponents under pressure. Downing is more one dimensional and, although his crosses are good, his team play isn't as productive. Sadly. Downing is there to compliment Carroll but that means a shift in tactics and I don't think that Carroll is anywhere near clinical enough to build an attacking gameplan around. It's all a bit predictable, IMO.Originally posted by Chris View PostI like Maxi but dont think he done that much and Downing would be getting hammered if he'd put in a similar performance. I was one of the posters who really wanted Downing to sign, but mainly because I could see how that would get the best out of Carroll. At the moment, my judgement looks ****e but I still think there will be times when we will be up against opponents who can be best exploited by whipping in a cross on to Carroll's head. Arsenal immediately springs to mind. I was shot down for saying that the Carroll signing was a huge mistake and the 'worst signing' of all time. I tried to clarify that it was not a slur on the player but the style of play we'd need to adopt in order to accomodate him. Hopefully now others may be able to see exactly where I was coming from.
