Downing is there to compliment Carroll but that means a shift in tactics and I don't think that Carroll is anywhere near clinical enough to build an attacking gameplan around. It's all a bit predictable, IMO.

I was one of the posters who really wanted Downing to sign, but mainly because I could see how that would get the best out of Carroll. At the moment, my judgement looks ****e but I still think there will be times when we will be up against opponents who can be best exploited by whipping in a cross on to Carroll's head. Arsenal immediately springs to mind. I was shot down for saying that the Carroll signing was a huge mistake and the 'worst signing' of all time. I tried to clarify that it was not a slur on the player but the style of play we'd need to adopt in order to accomodate him. Hopefully now others may be able to see exactly where I was coming from.
It's no good if they're not on the pitch together. Carroll will never hear him over the noise of the crowd.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I can't wait to see the entire game when you upload it to Dailymotion Mostar!

Which makes me wonder... Can you download from Dailymotion so I can watch it on the go? (poor 3G coverage in my area)

      (Mostar )

      Thanks
I uploaded both files last night on DailyMotion but I couldn't play them for some reason.

I'm doing file conversion (to AVI) and will be posting them in few hours.

Pulis is being a cock, but we definitely got away with one in the second half, Coates yanked Crouch's arm and sent him sprawling in the box, as their corner flew in. Nailed on penalty but wasnt given. Thankfully.

They also got away with one. Coates tried bicycle kick in the box and he was pushed by Woodgate I think.

That was a clear peno and it wasn't called.

Gerrard for Meireles improves that formation too. Bet we never get close to seeing it in action though

Not sure that is really a fair description these days.

As long as I can view it with my iPhone!

I think it's brilliant the other games you have put up mate. I don't know if you guys in the UK appreciate it, but the pre and post game stuff by Sky is miles better than what the Danish producers come up with. Besides pundits on Danish telly is often former Danish players who between them played 5-10 games for crap teams in the EPL or Championship. Claus Thomsen, Jacob Laursen, Mikkel Bischoff... household names like that!

Stoke are obviously anti football, but it works for them. Sure they beat us already in the league and have made playing at The Brittania ones of the most difficult away fixtures in the premier league.

Personally I just hope that they can take points off our rivals throughout the season.

They're ****ing ****, i cant believe their fans are happy to pay to watch that guff.

In 3 hours of football against us, they scored via a shoddy peno and a terrible error by a kid.

                                They're ****ing alehouse.
