And if you divide minutes played by shot assists then he is producing more shot assists for the minutes played. It's not really his fault if he's providing the opportunity but none of our players are finishing.

And it's the finishing that's the problem at the moment, we seem to have so many shots at goal every game but our finishing is terrible. 12 goals from 9 games isn't good enough.

I hate it when Downing plays down the right, I think he's done quite well on the left. I don't know if that's his fault for drifting over there in the game or if it's Management telling him to play on the right. I just don't understand why we finally spent so much money buying a left winger and then plonk him on the right .

I didn't know what to think about Henderson when we bought him but on the very rare occasion that he's been in the middle I think he's looked class. To me it's another example of a square peg being put in a round hole, he's at a new club, away from his home town for the first time and just to make things easier for him we play him out of position!

We all love Suarez because he's so unpredictable and exciting to watch but he has a goal conversion rate of 12.1%. Gerrard is 33%, Bellamy is 20%, Henderson 11.1% & Adam 9.1%.

He's got 4 goals but he demands a lot of service to produce them because he's squandering a lot of opportunities at the moment, as is just about every Liverpool player that gets into a shooting position to be fair.

To me the problem isn't the lack of supply from anyone in particular, it's the lack of finishing from anyone.

And another thing, I just looked at the Opta goal conversion table and we are 17th in the league for goal conversions (8%), the Mancs and Man City both have 18%. Says it all really!

4-4-2 with those two on the wings and Lucas with Spearing in the middle. It'd ****ing rip teams to shreds if Suarez started playing in a bit more space and drawing defenders out wide to give Carroll more space in the middle. Bellamy has a lovely in swinging ball in his locker too from the left! Kuyt is ideal to feed off the scraps and you have a team capable of winning 27-1

I would like to see Spearing start, he deserves it after a good performance against Stoke. To be honest he has done little wrong in the games we've seen him and him and Lucas are very effective together. We have to start giving Carroll more games too as he is not going to produce form without a string of games.

As the stats confirm Downing produces for us. Just need the knobheads to lay off his back & the strikers to do what they're supposed too.

He's had a decent start & needs to play.
