    Fair enough mate.

Judging by how upset you seemed though, it looked like there was plenty of harm done by MOTD's decision

I found it funny when Jug Ears turns to Hansen and says "Oh well another home win for Liverpool. You don't want to talk about that do you Alan" and then the camera turns on Hansen who looks dumbfounded and lost for words at Jug Ears' cheek and before he gets a chance to respond Jug Ears says "Right moving on....."

Jocky genuinely looked like he thought Lineker was takin' the piss but then realised he was serious

In regards to it bothering folk - Johnp hit the nail on the head with his post IMO

It is mildly annoying, and we seem to have hardly featured on it recently.

But at least I can watch Football First anyway.

to be fair this season and last we have been on sky more than any other team. Then there is all the champions league matches, and the bbc showed every one of our fa cup games last season.

Only because our matches pull in more viewers than any other team on a consistent basis. It's not like they are doing us a favour by showing the matches.

Which is why they like putting us on towards the end of MOTD, to keep viewing figures up throughout the programme.

Until we really feature in the race to be champions (or are playing someone who is) they're always likely to put us on towards the end.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

A very good point that is, however I don't really watch MOTD so I wouldn't know.

Good old BBC - they ran a bit on him being the greatest manager ever and in the viewer poll he came fourth!

Is Match of the Day still on the telly these days?

I thought it disappeared not long after sky invented football in 1992.

Thats the bit that really pisses me off, the generation that thinks the football league only started when Sky was set up.
Also, It annoys me to think so many people listen to Andy Gray, and regard him as the best football pundit, when clearly his knowledge is dated.
For ages, and possibly even still, didnt know Rafa's management style and openly admitted it.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
