    Lets not get carried away

yes we have won our last few games but lets not forget they was games at home.

I am delighted we are winning our home games but what i am interested in seeing if we can win away now.

We need to be able to transform our away performances before we can seriously be considered as title contenders.

We need to be able to beat the likes of man utd, arsenal & chelski. Currently our record against these guys has been very bad. But there is no better time to turn it around against arsenal next weekend. They are having difficulties settling into their new stadium. Their home form has been somewhat patchy so now is a good time as any to improve our record against these guys.

I'm not saying its all doom & gloom - we have a good squad of players - our performances have improved - so there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

But we need to do the above before we can seriously be considered as title contenders.

Its not the games against the Chavs and Manure we need to win, its the games against the like of Bolton, Everton, Sheffield and other premiership dregs that we need to be picking up maximum points.

    Chelsea 2 Sheff utd 0
    Blackburn 0 Chelsea 2
    Fulham 0 Chelsea 2

    Bolton 0 Manure 4
    Manure 5 Fulham 1

    LFC 1 Blackburn 1
    Bolton 2 LFC 0
    Everton 3 LFC 0
    Sheff 1 LFC 1

To be fair, Manure have had a pretty easy run of games so far, though I thought they'd drop points away at Bolton, and the f*cking destroyed them.

Games against the top clubs can normally go either way, unless we're away to one of the London clubs, then odds are we'll lose.

Anyway, we need to aim to pick up maximum points against the bottom 16 clubs to be challenging and we just won't be doing that at a high enough rate. I don't know about anyone else on here but I actually don't feel confident playing away at most grounds these days, there's certainly no cockiness or expectancy of a mauling and you need that confidence to win at these grounds.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I think that the combination of Kuyt and Crouch upfront will mean that we will start picking up the points away. Part of the problem so far is that we have not had that threat of always thinking we can get a goal, those two have started giving us that.

It's a split personality team at the moment. Our away form is worrying compared to home.

As long as we dont **** out of the Arsenal game like against Utd then I'll be happy.
