According to Wiki
The abuse that Beckham was receiving from English supporters peaked during England's 3–2 defeat by Portugal in Euro 2000, a match where Beckham set up two goals, when a group of England supporters taunted him throughout the match.[136] Beckham responded by raising his middle finger and, while the gesture attracted some criticism, many of the newspapers that had previously encouraged his vilification asked their readers to stop abusing him

Suarez really does need to adapt to the English game more and stay on his feet. He isn't doing himself any favours. He is clearly looking for the foul constantly and referees are less likely to give it. If he uses his balance and strength more sensibly he can stay on his feet and score goals. Suarez is getting hammered by defenders, but because he's over-dramatising the situation the referees aren't interested. Surely he must have realised this by now? It's getting really frustrating watching him throwing himself to the floor, it really isn't helping us to get results.

People are focusing on the easy excuses to make themselves feel better. Fine.

Its simple really, the answer is in the numbers = £35 million. Kenny is forced to play him to get him up to speed (or find out if he needs to get rid). As someone on here said this was an 'easy' game for him to finally get going. He didn't. Its not easy to get going when the whole team is looking for goals from somewhere and you're the reason the only goalscorer is on the bench.Originally posted by Mostar View PostI still don't get the reasoning why the Carroll got the nod over Maxi especially as Maxi seems to be in form and after he said great things about him prior to Fulham game.
I feel sorry for Kenny and Andy in this regard. And Maxi obviously. One tit for another.

Nope. But that would've been under Uefa jurisdiction.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostNice one. No punishment?
Ashley Cole did this to Arsenal fans....

But i cant find any evidence of punishment, only articles about him waiting to find out if he would be punished...

What gets me with the whole AC thing, is that so far, i don't see us playing to his strengths, not even when we're chasing a game, big man in the area...hit him with crosses, floated balls....balls he can flick on, from all angles, but hit him!
We don't seem to do it enough, one thing that everyone says who's been around him on his rise up the ranks from youth is that he's a superb header of the ball.
