I think Kenny may move carroll on. if newcastle are interested I think he'll take the loss. I want Carroll to work and I think it still could. but kenny has never been shy of making difficult decisions. if its best for the team it'll probably happen. kuyt won't be here next season either. imo.Always borrow money from a pessimist. N'gog was more dynamic than Carroll. He was so easily bullied off the ball, David, but Carroll is offering no more physical threat than him. He goes to ground easily, is hopelessly off the pace, make strange runs where he looks like he doesn't really want the ball and is rocking back on his heels when a decent striker would be looking 3 or 4 steps ahead of what Carroll is doing.
Huge disappointment.

did you read what Llambias said about him?Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostI think Kenny may move carroll on. if newcastle are interested I think he'll take the loss. I don't think they'd want him, there seems to be a direction at Newcastle to rid themselves of the big players they used to have to make a new team with harmony. None of their big players are there anymore and they look far better for it.
Carroll gone, Barton gone, Nolan gone, Harper gone - why would they want him back? Ba is a better striker than him this season.

well only one bloke wanted the tackle. if the other cunt is just going to stand there, it will always look bad. he got 100% of the ball. for me, if you do that and break someone in half, tough ****. its football. its life. move on.

Then again, I can't think of one striker who has been worse than him so far.
What an awful night footballwise

Think that game summed up our season.
First of all the ref was a ****ing disgrace. Just incredibly inept. And I rarely have a go at refs too. That's one of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen.
There were positives - we played well for just over half of the game. Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Adam and Henderson all looked good. Suarez gets **** all change and I think he's probably due a rest as he's played non-stop now for the best part of two years. On another day we'd have had a better ref, a perfectly good goal allowed, 11 players on the pitch and three goals.
However we're really going to miss Lucas. The amount of times in the first half where we had no shield in front of the back four was incredible - shows how important Lucas is to us. And that was Fulham; unless we get someone in January then we're going to have a big problem. Spearing has done well when called upon but he's nowhere near the quality of Lucas.
Yet again we're wasteful and yet again Maxi can't get a sniff. Not saying that he'd have scored two goals and won us the game but you play the players that perform when given their chance. Our lack of a clinical striker is also hampering us.
It was just typically frustrating. Good points to be taken from tonight but also a lot of concerns.

Our Friend had decided that we weren't allowed to win the ball tonight, simple as that.Originally posted by Imy View PostSee those pics would be bad had Dembele nicked ahead of Spearing and got the ball away, he didn't - Spearing won the 50/50, his follow through is what caught the player.
My question is how could he have won the ball and not hit the man?

Don't be silly, a dangerous tackle is a dangerous tackle, whether you get the ball or not.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Post

well I can think of at least 6 nailed on chances that should have been buried. me saying this isn't absolving downing from critism, because I think he needs to man up a bit and get involved more. but he has laid some on a plate and we've been woeful finishing them. he almost got us a point today.Originally posted by cream View PostI'm afraid it isn't. How many decent crosses has he put in so far this season?

He was onside. We did **** all else? Hit post twice, had a clear cut penalty not given and forced the keeper into a couple of good saves. Nothing my arse.Originally posted by sean_lfc View PostWho gives a flying **** anyway if he was onside offside by a millimetre. It was called offside, we did **** ALL else and we deserved to lose, story of our ****ing season, it's a shambles and that's something we should be concentrating on and not whether it shoulda/woulda/coulda been onside.ONE bad call? Were you in the bog for the others?Originally posted by Mostar View PostI think so too.
From what I was able to see he looked clearly offside.
Enough of that anyways.
We should've dismantled them into pieces and we failed to do so and as far as I am concerned we have no one else to blame but ourselves.
Yes ref made one bad call but if Adam passed the ball to Bellamy few minutes before perhaps we have been 1 up by then etc, etc.
Dempsey headbutts Bellamy, no red. Senderos commits a professional foul, no red. A booked Senderos cynically pulls down Carroll, no 2nd yellow. Adam is fouled on the line of the peno box, which is a penalty (not open to opinion, that's the rules) - no pen given. Suarez goal onside, ruled out.
"One bad call"
There were about 4 or 5, all game-changing decisions and ALL in favour of one side. How often does that happen? Genuine mistakes are split, not all in one team's favour. We were cheated out of that.
