And besides that I tend to stay away from the internet during most games, a) because it takes my focus away from the game I love watching, b) because I have over years on the internet found out that it for most games makes me enjoy them less (partly because of what you describe), and c) simply because there are to few people these days that just seems to enjoy the game with it's up and downs, and everybody ends up being unhappy/bitching about something (and myself included at times) and it really kills what the game is supposed to be all about for me.

Its funny whilst i do think its a pointless excersise to express your opinions on football, I do think there is something to be said about express them on broad political and ethical issues, I have witnessed people with dodgy attitudes on social issues being infected by postive opinion on said matters. That said I do love the way Stanhpupe cuts through the bull**** to the crux of the matter, here is another one of his absolute gems

I agree so much with that
I love football period.
I use to have this thing about having to be logged onto the Match Day thread as a superstition thing, my god I witnessed it all from the UFEA Final, to the Champions Lg Final to every ****ing week at half time, showers upon showers of asshats laying into the team, offering no support, no belief, only to quietly, sneak away when the team pull through and clutch victory from the claws of defeat. I hate that, I detest that. I have been wrong about many things in my life and I always make a point of owning up to my mistakes even when there is an exit there or its not necessary.
From Carra to Lucas, I have witnessed it all and watch, if Suarez does not score a goal in the next 3 games you will see them turning on him as well. Just does not jive with me, if i was in a social circle with the people I come across online, after about 3 outings were they made the standard internet opinions known I would cut ties al together, theres nothing worse than spending time with miserable people, when really if you think about it, 9 times out of 10 thats what you are doing when you are online.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. I just unliked about 10 football Facebook pages, unsubbed the game by the times, football weekly by the Guardian, The barclays football podcast, our very own kopcast lovely people but **** me they should look into getting sponsered by prozac, the redmen, who I pay for and yet they offer all there content free (that ****ing annoys me) all my twitter football followings from Agents, So Called Jornos etc, I'm keeping the players.
I think I will chose one source to get my fix, and that for me has to be the one football Jorno who has impressed me over the years Paul Tomkins, I'm going to sign up this his site and spend time reading his quality articles, I know he is not everybody's taste, but for me there seems to be some thought ans substance has gone into his craft.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. LOL there is a certain kind of Irony in it isn't itOriginally posted by Zapater View PostI understand what you're going through, the same kind of thought crosses my head regularly. What I find a bit confusing is why you find it incumbent upon yourself to share all of this with us.

It's the same for me in a relationship. As soon as I get emotionally involved it f*cks up.Originally posted by Helios Creed View PostEvery time I get a bit optimistic and sit down to watch a game properly, we lose.
So for the sake of the team, I will be trying to avoid becoming emotionally involved for the rest of the season.
It's funny but it's true.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
