I am just curios to see how many of you are for it and against it.
One common argument against it is that it destroys the continuity of the game. However nowadays whenever a controversial incident occurs, it takes the referee at least a minute or two to get control over the players, show the cards and resume play. I am not saying video evidence is perfect but at least it will minimize the chances of obvious errors occurring.
Maybe it should be introduced in a phased manner where every team has like 2 reviews per game? Or the manager has the power to ask for 2 reviews per game? Or the affected team can request the referee to review any controversial incident which leads to a goal like a penalty, red card incident, disallowed goals etc.
I think with the advances in technology it must now be feasible to come up with a review mechanism so that there are no significant stoppages in the game.
