A very nice win, although I'm getting slightly pissed off with all this woodwork we hit. What was that, 14, 15th of the season? Compared to 20 something goals
Oh, and Adam needs to stop playing the hero. He's a good player, but last time against Fulham his antics cost us the win in my opinion, fortunately today that wasn't the case, but he could have given a goal to Shelvey for example, instead he won a corner. Play for the benefit of the team, not yourself.

It opened up beautifully for him though, so at 2-0 you can understand why he hit it. If it had of been Carroll in the same position and he laid it off, I imagine people would be saying he should have had the balls to hit it.

Easy game, great result but Villa are absolutely shocking!

Thought Bellamy and all our backline were superb. If we had of been playing a decent team the trio in teh middle of Adam/Hendo/Shelvey would have got their arses handed to them. Not one of them can defend the middle of the park, thank christ we were playing Villa and have a run of game that are kinder than most, nice that our defence is rock solid though.

Suarez has looked off the pace in last few games but was desperately unlucky, that chip was outstanding. Hoping Kenny is resting Maxi for Wigan, worst game Downing has played for Liverpool and that's saying something. Bellamy was class today, love him at LFC!

Disagree on Downing as I didn't think he had that bad game.

His strenght is on the left side not on right but I thought he helped GJ on more than few times defensively and put in decent shift.

Yep, think the one at Fulham should have been passed but he'd have been a mug to not hit that one today. Suarez does exactly the same aswell.

Too predictable on the right IMO but i'd take maxi starting over him any day, more productive,more guile and make great runs between defences. For me Maxi just has much more to his game than Downing & in an already less than clinical side, i think Maxi should be a starter more often than not IMO.

Downing 16 games and 0 goals/ 0 assists, not good reading.

Unfortunately yes as he always cuts inside but Kenny wants him to gain the confidence as he just cannot drop Bellamy, who is playing extremely well.

Would been nice to see them interchange positions on left and right for little while but that might be coming in the next game they play together.

In terms of Maxi, I share your views as to me we play with much more fluidity with him in the lineup.

Would be very surprised if he doesn't start on Wednesday though.

Shelvey was completely open. Not giving him the ball was clearly the wrong option, and not just because Adam's shot ended up getting blocked.

Brilliant, a game I could watch relaxed and enjoy.

Villa had nothing but 2 early goals really helps the stress levels!

From what I was able to see it seemed Guzan already committed himself for the shot from Adam and it looked Shelvey had an empty net for a moment.

Sadly the pass never came and the chance went begging.
