I'm the opposite, I want the points. Wigan play good football but they're never going to win anything,Originally posted by NigelLG View PostIt's a game of fine margins. I'm more interested in our performances than our results (even if they're frustrating) in that stage of our development.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

At the start of the game we were pressing them and making them look exactly what they are: **** to average players that give possession away for fun, then the midfield just stopped working. The number of times they were bearing down on our defence unimpeded was extremly unsettling and is a regular theme. I don't really see a natural answer; Spearing hasn't got the physical presence to compete.

A midfielder in January is as important as buying a quality striker. Our midfield in the 1st half was good but got dominated in the 2nd I thought. Henderson and Adam are not players capable of bossing a midfield. Gerrard's return is not the answer as the man is just not reliable anymore. We've been linked with Fer, Strootman, Diarra, Sissoko, any 1 of those players would make a world of difference IMO.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostAt the start of the game we were pressing them and making them look exactly what they are: **** to average players that give possession away for fun, then the midfield just stopped working. Not negative about our performances at all. Certain players maybe, but our performances overall have been great to watch. I can't wait for our next game, we will annihilate whomever we come across because Kenny's doing a good job there...we just won't beat them because our players have defeatist mentalities when one on one with the keeper.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostIt's a game of fine margins. Wigan are a tidy side in form at present, just our luck we play them now. They put Chelsea under the kosh, get you head around this, They are a Premiership side, there are no **** **** sides in the Premiership.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostAt the start of the game we were pressing them and making them look exactly what they are: **** to average players that give possession away for fun, then the midfield just stopped working. But we were poor, if we had of kept up that pressure we would have got our rewards but too many players were not up to scratch tonight. It happens, we move on, another point to add to the tallyAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015
