It makes me laugh that you moan about the abuse you get on this forum yet you dish out comments like this about LFC players

If you are prepared to dish it out you should suck it up when people nail you for your inadequacies (which are far greater than Carrolls it appears)

If we'd scored the penalties against Wigan and Sunderland, we'd be in the top 4 level on points with Spurs.

Yup, it's not just a top quality striker that we need, we need Gerrard back, we need Lucas back or we need to buy players of similar quality.

We have one of the best defensive records in the league and despite Lucas getting injured we havent conceeded significantly more goals

As a team we are in the higher eschelons in terms of creating goalscoring chances

Yet we are in the bottom two or three in terms of converting those chances

IF we had put away our penalties we'd have been level on points with Spuds and thats not taking into account the numerous goalscoring opportunities we are squandering in games we have drawn

Put Rush (at his peak) in this side we'd be top 4 no worries

We have to do what's best for the club. Even though Suarez is playing as world class as he is, the points are not appearing on the board. Its not all down to luck, there is room for improvement.

A goalscorer is that improvement, whomever gets hurt in the process.

I don't think we will drop Suarez if that is what you are hinting at. We would have to accomodate a bit, and it's not exactly like we havn't already tried that this season. We have played 442 with Carroll and Suarez, and place another one next to Suarez and it could work.

Another option is putting Suarez on the wing/inside forward position, he has played that a lot for Ajax, and with great succes as well. A new striker on top and then Bellamy/Suarez/Downing/Kuyt to cover the two other places and it looks decent.

But it requires a striker or two that can actually hit within the framework.

I'm pretty happy today, the result was a downer, but i'm so amazed and happy at the clubs reaction the what they see as the unfair persecution of a Liverpool player, it's about time this club said '**** you' to the detracters, we've done it the other way for the majority of the modern era, and it's got us nowhere fast.
