He seems to have been on fire for Rotherham and since then Crewe. Took him a while to find his feet after he left us but has finally come good. I remember being quite excited about him when Ged gave him his chance (against Bolton, I think).
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, and then he did well against Newcastle as well.
Weird to think he was let go so quickly, whilst we kept hold of complete duds like Welsh, Whitbread and Potter.
He was ****ing brilliant against Utd a couple of weeks ago, very impressed with him, pace to burn the lad.
Wouldn't say no.

Yeah he left Heinze for dead on a couple of occasions and then produced some fine deliveries.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
I asked Sammy Lee in the Pub why we ley him go, Sammy said he wasn't ready and may not prove good enough. It looks like time has proven Sammy wrong based on his performnaces since leaving liverpool.
PS sammy is not a source he just drinks in a pub near where I live.

Not to spark even MORE conspiracy theories but several people I know are of the impression that he was shipped out due to reasons other than his on-field ability. I suppose you don't get shot in the arse for nothing

You mean you have to pay for it?
The same thought had occurred to me about why he was moved on.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

He's been away a few years now and he's not exactly talk of the football papers- there's a reason he is only in the third top league. If he was good enough for us he would have been in the year end pfa select at least - or signed by Tottenham!
He is not going to take us forward imo. We need top quality or youngsters with potential - he's not in either category
