      A bit old now though.

Perhaps a move to bring in Pat Rice as coach would help him.

Adam is far too hit and miss. He's slow and lazy which is exactly what you cant be in central midfield... Lucas injury is showing him up a lot as he could always rely on Lucas to clean up when he went forward. Now Gerrard is back i would expect Adam to be dropped a lot more.

Henderson is very rough around the edges but is showing some good promise and has a good engine (my personal favourite to replace Lucas while he is injured).

Enrique is brilliant. Sometimes holds on to the ball to long and out of position occasionally but that is expected.

Downing is confusing. Started the season very brightly and looked like it would only be a matter of time until he scored and made some assists. Then he went ****e and stopped running at players and his crossing has been piss poor. Really needs to improve.

        Bellamy is awesome

All our players are too hit and miss. They need to be more hit and score.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

It's well known that Carragher has scored less often for LFC than he has for the opposition. It's often forgotten though that he has also scored less for LFC than he did at a single Christmas party.

It wont help your players score from 2 or 3 yards out which quite a few of them have failed to do this season

Is anyone telling me that if we had Rush (in his prime) upfront in this system we wouldnt have put those chances away?

He'd have at least 10 league goals by now
I think starting position and number of players in the box can impact upon finishing. Part of the quality of any chance is how much the player who has it has to do. Sometimes it appears that our players are reaching for chances and/or there is only one option in/around the box.

Obviously such things are very hard to evaluate from an observers perspective as we don't have access to the instructions given to individual players or the team.

It is certainly true that some players seem to make the most of even half chances (like Rush) and we definitely lack that. I'd be really interested to hear what Suarez thought caused the difference in his goal scoring for us compared to Uruguay.

My tendency is to feel that we need to to tweak personnel and tactics but as Kenny has stated our philosophy is broadly speaking right.

Hitting the woodwork x amount of times, being unlucky in front of goal, creating lots of chances but not scoring, needing a true winger .......... blah, blah, blah.......... is all getting a bit boring since it's what I've heard since Houllier took over in what seems a lifetime ago.

Under Evans it was the opposite - we can score but we can't defend. Now from GH through to KD now it's the lack of scoring and creativity EXCUSES EVERY SEASON to varying degrees.

We sound like comedic deluded fans, let's focus on the body of work, the League points etc. that's what counts. IMO Rafa's team with Alonso, Pepe, Mash, Agger (injury free), Torres, Carra (in his prime), Gerrard (injury free) and very good serviceable assests such as Yossi, Arbeloa, Hyppia (the older version) etc set the standard of what we need to compete for the Prem and CL and we just don't have anything near that in terms of talent at the moment.

We can analyze and over-analyze all we want but in terms of talent on the pitch we are where we are..................
