Thought we didn't actually play all that badly. We were just ****ing toothless up front and they were clinical. Carroll has another very poor game. Kuyt, Carroll, Downing... where were the goals going to come from?

As Craig said - toothless. Our game needs end product and some much needed pace upfront. Downing (who isn't the fastest) is probably our fastest player bar Bellamy (and Suarez).

Few positives and few negatives.

Thought we played wrong in the second half.

We should have attempted more shots on the goal given the very slippery surface rather than try to cross it in the box as our crossing abilities are sub-standard to say at least.

Hendo had a very good game. Glad to see Stevie back and him Bellamy and Maxi perhaps could have had an impact on the final score if they played from the start.

Thinking about positives though:

Well, Hendo played well, in the first half he seemed to take the game by the scruff, tried at least, some great defensive work as well and ****ing SUBLIME ball to Downing, pass of the season, it was just like Gerrard's ball back in the day vs. Chelsea for Torres' first goal - oh if Torres had been on that ball by Hendo! Gerrard/Bellamy understand each other and bring that urgency. Enrique had a poor game by his standards, Downing just is that nit-nit-nicey-tip-tap-wag-a-tail-pumkin-footballer for some reason. He can run, he can cross, but it's just not got balls!
At times I really admired the growing Skrtl & Agger partnership, there are moments of rare perfection, like that interception Agger made on the break, far touchline, crucial, just got there, beautiful. However the attack is just mirgl-schmirgl, square pegs, round holes. But Gerrard and Bellamy together really work. We need more men in the box together, there was one moment where Kuyt got a knockdown from Carroll in the box and I was so surprised to see that combination in the box! If we could just do that sort of **** more often, man... unlucky about today, just a heap of poopoo.

We need to get busy in the transfer window.It will take a lot more than a fit and firing Gerrard to get us in the top 4

probably for the first time in this season that i'm not so pissed about this. they're best team in PL and they deserve to be first. we are team for 4th place at best, that's current reality. we need new players that's a fact.
