Surely they can't do that? Playing games behind closed doors is usually a punishment, for poor fan behaviour (after numerous warnings), and for more than just a single idiot, so couldn't be a result of the Oldham thing.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fergee would prob manage to switch it to OT with no away allocation...

The FA will have to shoulder a fair amount of the blame when things inevitably kick off during and after the game. They were in a position to make something positive out of a messy situation and instead they have intensified the hatred between the two biggest clubs in the country.

It's true they have intensified things but they won't accept any of the blame for anything that happens.

That is the general consensus on YNWA too.

do we have a day/time/ref for this yet? still showing on the BBC as a 3pm kick off, can't believe it will be that.

I see that we are down to play Wolves on 31st. I presume that will be put back.
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

It will be Saturday 28th January, 12:45 kickoff. If not midday.

                    It obviously wont be 3pm

Why would it be put back? There's a midweek PL programme that week and our game at Wolves will go ahead as planned.

Wont it be on a Sunday early doors?

ITV will be showing it and they will put it in the same slot as the Manc Derby?

Sunday has to be the favourite, no chance itll be behind closed doors, whos going to give us the money for lost revenue?

We play on the Tuesday after - Everton play on the Wednesday after.

Therefore - our game will (should) be on the Saturday, so we play Saturday-Tuesday and Everton will (should) be on the Sunday, so they play Sunday-Wednesday.

Ok. Sorry. For some reason I thought 31st was on a Monday.

I hope that means the cup game will be on the Saturday.

The only thing that could potentially put the kybosh on things, is if ITV's tv slot is for Sunday games and ONLY sunday games.

Even then though, i cant see the police accepting a 5:30pm kickoff and surely their safety recommendations would take priority.
