funny thing is though, we will likely beat city to get to the final and beat united in the FA cup.
It is extremely painful to see the King going through this. He hasnt got a bootroom anymore to get solid advice from. Think people underestimate how important that little group of loyal, smart and honest men really were and shame on Souey for getting rid.

            FSG didn't do anything wrong.

Net or gross they spent over 80m on players and we cannot expect much more from them.

Carroll, Downing, Adam and others need to take a long hard look at themselves as their performances this year had been nothing but pathetic.

Yes we were flying, but regrettably, completley changed our style/players; as KK decided to play his 'out of form' summer signings from Day 1 rather than bedding them in; its a massive error of judgement which we are no paying for. I know Maxi was poor today, but what do you expect, he gets infrequent game time; last March+, he, Dirk & Luis were unstoppable. SO WHY CHANGE IT

Pure frustration but I do think this fella talks through his arse and glosses it over.

This is all really worrying. We needed a defensive midfielder in there, but you have to ask yourself where then do you then play Gerrard, Adam and Henderson? What system was our transfer policy geared towards in the summer? For me, I can't help but wonder what our style - or quality - of play would have been at the end of last season if we had actually signed Adam last January, or indeed if Carroll had been fit. Man City apart, for the few games that Andy Carroll played at the end of last season it seemed that our quality noticeably deteriorated. Would Dalglish have got the job full-time if he had got all the signings he wanted playing regularly at the end of last season?

I think the elephant in the room is that we are not progressing as a team and responsibility has to fall largely at the feet of the manager. Just because he is King Kenny shouldn't make him immune to criticism.

Long term, one of the big worries I have is that the youth team was supposed to have links with the first team's style of play, or at least play in a similar way to enable an easier transfer for the players from youth/reserves into the first team. Where would Suso for example play in our current first team? Or Silva, Coady, Adorjan or even Sterling? We do not have a settled formation and it seems that any formation we do play negates the potential of our youth team, which seems crazy long term. Just when we seemed to be getting a style of play running throughout the club, it all changes. I remember Guardiola saying something along the lines of that we have some quality players that could come through but this needs managing correctly. Are we really doing this?

I think Rafa could do amazing with the funding from our owners

I don't believe for a minute that the owners have put money in, but they have put their faith in Kenny and let him do things his way. Can't see that continuing anymore, the balance of power will shift towards Comolli.
