The people who want Rafa back need to realize that this club needs to look to the future and not the past. It's our yearning for the past that brought back Kenny and look how that is working out.
If Rafa came back his first few months/season would be decent but eventually the old flaws would begin to creep back in - negative football, poor signings, inability to accept responsibility for mistakes and bizarre team selections.

And to think that 14 months ago Frank Rijkaard was out of a job, he's the manager I wanted back then to replace Roy and I still believe he may be the right man.

Downing, Adam and Carroll - better or worse than Houllier's collective turd in 2002?
Look at the prices.. Henderson as much as I believe he will come good, is still overpriced, its been an awful year! We're becoming a laughing stock.

It's the fact that in Benitez's last season and the stuff about Juventus surfaced and it became apparent that he was leaving, we wanted Kenny.

When Hodgson was having a shocker, we wanted Kenny and got our wish.

Now Kenny's having a bit of a mare, fans are now calling for Rafa.

It's like having mini-Abramovich's all over the place.

We need to be ruthless ... I realise we are far from out of the race for 4th .. but that today was just nowhere near good enough for so many reasons ... Stoke I could just about forgive ... but Bolton away less Cahill when Chelsea have just dropped points against Norwich and we put in that perfomance .. never mind the scoreline ... those ****ing players should have been playing like it was a Champions Lg Final and they just did not .. Bellers a guy who is in his 30s with a knee problem who was playing at a lower level lg before he rejoined us was the one player dangerous who consistently looks like he gives a ****

I don't know about that. Comolli could have easily influenced Kenny's decisions one way or another.

We don't know if Comolli made those recommendations (e.g. Carroll, Downing, Adam, Henderson, given Moneyball approach I would think he did definitely had his fingers there) to Kenny and Kenny accepted them.

Carroll, Downing etc may not necessarily being hand picked by Kennysolely nor we know if they were his first choices.

I think it is safe to say Comolli has been involved in the players scouting and purchases and I am not so sure that he'll the only guy to make decisions going forward.

LOL Give Rafa £35m/£20m/£20m to spend on players and you best believe he won't come up with Carroll/Downing/Henderson You're definitely full of ****. First time I've ever bothered replying to your inept posts, but this one takes the biscuit.

I personally think Kenny got what he wanted.

                    Simply dire.

Totally disrespected Bolton and again absolutely shocking tactics from Kenny. I've lost all faith in him and genuinely don't think he has the tactical nous to take us on any further.

Zero chance of top four now but i've known that for a while now. Depressing.

I think if you take into account the status of worship Kenny is under at LFC, Comolli as an 'outsider' would recommend some players and give Kenny the benefit of the doubt with regards to the transfers, especially regarding Kenny's history at the club as both player and manager. But the talent he unearthed at Spurs was far from your jock Adams, Northern stealth Downing/Henderson and Carroll.

Never seen Dalglish so angry. No defending of his players at all. Suggested they were distracted by 2 cup games coming up. #LFC

Bollix Kenny was the right man for the Job at the time .. The Steady the ship, transitional Job, he did so well it would have been disrespectful to not give him a contract and a crack, he was backed in every way and his team is just looking utterly **** right now .... I have to go back a very long way to remember a worst performance ...

I think Rafa wouldn't have spunked £35m on Andy Carroll, I'm pretty sure of that.
