I was really hoping that Adam was only going to be a squad option, and that we'd be signing some real class - my theory that the signings we have made so far were building blocks in a squad building exercise isn't exactly looking sound with what we're hearing from Dalglish about potential signings. The worrying thing about all this is the players we have signed and are being linked with show more in common with Hodgson's philosophies rather than the ambition we showed under Rafa.

I'm getting more and more worried. Are FSG putting too much faith in the team because they don't know football?

I think Adam should be dropped for a good while. Give someone else a chance like Shelvey.

We need to buy and apparently, there's **** all chance that Kenny is going to spend this transfer window.
        Are we winning?

I can't see what Adam offers the team. His strong points were supposed to be set pieces, free kicks and corners, and long range accurate passing. For whatever reason, his abilities in those areas seem to have deserted him. Take away his specialities and he becomes a liability. He looks like he tackles like a drunk in a 5 a side match, he has no pace and can't retain the ball. He doesn't work and when hassled has no wit to make space for himself.

Thats it. Where is the investment? I'm no less worried now than when we had Hodgson and HicksGillett - they haven't really shown their intentions to make us competitive.

I heard that we have been hamstrung in our transfer window because the Suarez situation took up all the time and effort resource wise.

I think injuries to key players Stevie and Lucas, Raul cowardly exit at the last second and our inability to replace him in time, Luis issue etc affected us in many ways but the fact remains that our biggest purchases turned out to be very poor.

Those players are brought in with intentions to make us better and neither Carroll nor Downing have done that and Kenny and Comolli have to share responsibility for those decisions.

That said, even with the injuries, suspensions and bad buys we should have been right up there with Spurs.

Our home record is the main reason we are so poor and if you cannot win against Sunderland, Swansea, Blackburn, Norwich we don't deserve to progress to CL.

Hes got more assists than any other LFC player

So there is no doubt hes made a contribution

Hes been exposed since Lucas has gotten injured mind

And playing him with Gerrard leaves us wide open

No wonder our legal defence was crap if we had our team of domestic and international scouts working on it.

We need a defensive midfielder in there swapping Adam for Shelvey would make little difference in fact Shelvey is more attack minded than Adam, we need to swap Adam for Spearing
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

they've said repeatedly that the money is available for transfers but kenny feels he doesn't need to make any.

which i think might be smokescreen.

in any case, anyone who thinks we don't need players is just wrong.

I think we are more in need of a striker now than we were last January after selling Torres

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Adam was shocking but he was no worse than half a dozen players on the pitch

Enrique, Johnson, Maxi, Adam, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Kuyt & Skrtel were completely anonymous

Thought Bellamy played well first half, Carroll actually was ok (by his standards) first half - shocking second though

Agger was our best attacker 2nd half

I make no apologies, this is me

There is no doubt that we need to bring few players and if Kenny wants to put his trust in the existing group and not look for improvements that may easily be the end of him. They collectively have been letting him done, bar a few, and I do not see how anything will change unless we bring few new additions. I think it says all when our most consistant and the best player has been 32 year old freebie that was brought in only to be a cover and never as a go to guy.

no longer the exciting project it seemed in the summer is it?

it could be, but for now, rubbish.
