Club Badge Being Updated

I had dinner with a mate last night who is a designer for one of LFC's merchandising partners. He confirmed that the club badge is being updated and will be a stripped back Liver Bird with the club name (or initials) underneath it. He is 100% sure of this as his company have started manufacturing items for next season.

It sounds like the badge will be like the one from the late 70's early 80's.

He says from a merchandising point of view it is a lot easier and cheaper to produce the new badge than the current badge.

I would absolutely love this to be true but they need to incorporate the Hillsborough memorial in there too, maybe a small flame on each sleeve.

the eternal flame must be part of any new badge IMO.

I really liked the old badge we had up to the 90's. But the flame has to go on IMO. A simple badge consisting of just the Liverbird and the flame(s) is what I'd like to see.

Just reading this again. It sounds to me like this is just for some merchandise such as leisurewear rather than the actual club logo, the club has done this previously with leisurewear.

always preferred the old one the liverbird with L.F.C under it like in 86 etc,in gold.the current one has too much going on and i hate the green on it.

add a flame beside the 86 one and we are done
