But conceeding possession and sitting back for them to attack is crazy at home in the first half. It was inevitable they'd get through at some point.Originally posted by destinydude View PostOne mistake from Enrique and we have paid; Until then we were hanging in there a bit.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Half time.
We don't trust Carragher in the centre; he's just an extra body that - unfortunately - slows down our play from back to front. He's allowing Man Utd time and space in front of him and he needs to go to the ball.
Linking to the above, Gerrard and Maxi are coming to him to get the ball, meaning Henderson and Carroll are the only real options. We've gone long on several occassions, but Carroll needs to get it down as apposed to look for the flick-on, allowing Kelly and Downing to support him.
Talking of Kelly and Downing, a great performance from them both. Solid, yet a threat going forward.
On the left, Enrique is having a poor run of games; he was at fault for the goal and seems to refuse to close down Valencia or Rafael. Maxi seems a yard off the pace and is floating around aimlessly in places.
Gerrard is trying to pull the strings, but there is not much to go with. Henderson is having a good game, but we need to get to the byline and get the ball in the box, get around De Gea and have a few pops from distance.
We need to stop showing Man Utd respect and push on, they have a very weak midfield that we should be pressurising. We need to get the ball down and have a spell of possession, get Man Utd worked.

Don't agree mate, think they have been fine in the first half. Maxi and Enrique have been very poor, and Hendersson although playing well for most parts have given away possesion to easily in the first half.Originally posted by lickedlollipop View Postare we playing as a team or as individual?
carroll and downing ****.. again.

Too right. Enrique is forever trying to block the attacker and shield the ball rather than playing the ball. He's a liability right now. Get maxi off. Yes Enrique was mostly to blame for the goal but I think the finger can be pointed at the team imo...
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

Why does Enrique always try to win the ball by getting his body in between ball and player and turn his way of trouble. It's ok sometimes further up the pitch but when in the danger are he should just fckin clear the ball.He could have done for the equaliser, just clear the ball but he tried to turn again ffs!-----------------------------------------------
