the under 19s have the exact same problem as our first team. they spunk a load of chances and look toothless upfront. they havent looked better than us but they take their chances.

Great experience for the lads. Losing is part of developing a winning mid set. Hope some of these boys can take there experiences forward.

Reality check. I guess English youngsters are highly overrated.

the scoreline doesnt tell the whole story. we looked very good in bursts but our central midfield is so **** that we just couldnt stop them coming at us.

adorjan looks very clever and sterling is a threat. suso should have buried the penalty and ngoo upfront is very awkward.

other than that I thought mclaughlin and wisdom were both very good. however, sama always looks to have a mistake in him.

we signed texeira to play centrally now they need to sign another top draw central midfield prospect to add strength and defensive solidity to that side because roddan and coady arent up to much.

I thought Coady was supposed to be highly rated? I don't really follow the youth team all that much though to be fair...just what I hear from other people.

Coady being highly rated was a myth. Extremely mediocre. Very one paced and no real engine. Has a good shot on him . I have seen people compare him to Superman Gerrrard at times. Steven at 18 when he had a growth spurt was a physical phenomenon with great pace and running power. Coady as i said is very one paced. Nowhere near good enough. Same applies to Roddan and Roberts. The ressies midfield is very weak offensively and defensively. 7/10 they get outplayed.

Adorjan, Suso, Sterling and Wisdom are the prospects who have the best chance. The rest are a much of a muchness.

Just got back from the game, that lad is going to be a superstar. They were technically far superior to us. Really enjoyed the game, Ajax were fantastic to watch. The only player who looked decent for us was McLaughlin. I thought the likes of Suso and Sterling were good enough to make the step up, but based on tonight's performance they are nowhere near.
