Not many options from the bench.

Good solid team though, game on!

nice to see carroll starts again. it seems bellamy has to play, gerrard injured?

nice to see baby jay again.

no maxi, again. tbh, he was poor last game.

Maxi can score and I personally would've liked to see him on the bench today.

          Must be a 451 / 4231

          Adam Spearing
          Kuyt Henderson Bellamy
          Carroll

I'd be inclined to let Adam go furthest forward though, saves him barrelling into Wolves players defensively

Done more than Downing all season.

I think the team we have out shows we need better players.

Let's face it, if we want to shake things up at any point, we've got a full defensive back line on the bench.

Yep, had some mares lately, Wigan, Bolton and Saturday. Would still be decent for the bench mind but Downing in better form based on the last few.

Yup, I'd agree with that system.

However, I think we'll see Henderson given licence to support the attack, but I imagine Adam will be tasked to pick the ball up deep and will sit relatively deep. But you've got a valid point, playing Spearing will mean we won't have Adam clipping too many Wolves ankles and it will free him up from the shackles he has had recently.

                    Where's Maxi?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The question is, will Henderson allow himself to support the attack. #needsmoreaggression

Yeah, it's certainly a combative Wolves midfield and he'll need to put his foot in, but I think a lot of the dirty work will be done by Spearing and to a lesser extent, Adam.

What we need from Henderson tonight is for him to *want* the ball, and look for Bellamy and Kuyt early doors.

shame we can't put a ressie attacking player on the bench; very frustrating to see 3 CB's & LB on bench TBH

of course he can. but it doesn't change the fact he's in poor form. but he could be at least on the bench, that's true
