Football365's complete bull**** attempt to justify it:
"A quick word about the 'dive' Bale was booked for. Now, if you watch the incident closely, you'll see Daniel Agger move to put in quite a hefty challenge, but pull away slightly. If Bale had not gone down, he would most likely have been wiped out by the big Dane, and as we know there doesn't necessarily have to be contact for a free-kick to be given. It was a tricky call for Michael Oliver (who had a pretty decent game), but Bale has a right to feel slightly hard done by."
Followed extremely closely by:
"The Liverpool bench may have been outraged that Martin Skrtel was penalised for the late challenge on Bale, but looking at the marks on his knee and shin, which looked suspiciously like stud imprints, might suggest he was lucky to get away with a yellow card."

As I said before, pathetic journalism. F365, how do you select your writers/editors? Standing outside in a busy street and choosing someone who you think might be capable of writing a good piece? While some points here may be correct, the laughable attempt to excuse Gareth Messi of any wrong doing is ridiculous at best. He's British, so he doesn't dive. Let's then have a go at the foreigners, the perfect scapegoat being Luis Suarez. Had Suarez dived the way Bale did, it would be plastered all over this site as if some sort of criminal offense had been commited. Pathetic writing from and increasigly biased "journalist" and site.

So get fouled and get Agger a booking then! And wiped out is a load of **** anyway, he was basically out of the way of Agger but didnt fancy running after his dreadful touch v Glen Johnson so tried to con the referee.
It's ridiculous how the likes of him and Ashley Young keep getting excused for all this ****. Yet Suarez who doesn't even dive, just exaggerates fouls a bit is seen as the biggest cheat in the country.
