It's not just optimism Muddled - It's realism; United ARE weaker than they were - If anything this season? They're worse At home than away - Look at their respective H v A records for proof of that. As to performances like the two they gave at Anfield? In one they surrendered the Whole middle of the park to us & in the other? They dominated it - We may have won the match they dominated & drawn the one they backed off in but? The two performances were Quite different & if anything?

I actually agree with you - I to think they'll attack on Saturday & their performances in respect of those at Anfield? Will be like the FA Cup one more than the League game from our place if you ask me - However? One big thing is that they've not caused us that many problems this year whatever they've done & further? I think it's often forgotten that the Only reason they dominated the other week? Was that we played only a couple of nights before - This time we have had nearly as much rest as them - That? Will make a BIG difference & one that in the end? I think will tip the match in Our favour - All the pressure is on them don't forget. As a result they Will come at us & in the end? Knowing what we're like when teams come at us rather than sit back? That WILL be their downfall. Mark my words........................

Man Utd have dropped eight points at home, whilst away they've dropped nine? Being two points off the top of the Premiership is not a sign of a weak team; yes, on paper, their squad looks thin, yet they have a knack of getting results. I think regardless of the team they put out - it could be filled with squad players - they seem to have an ability to grind out points, an ability I would love to see us develop at Anfield at least.

They came to Anfield, played a bank of five across the midfield, one upfront and came to contain us and look to sneak a goal. At Old Trafford, I'd expect them to give Rooney and (possibly) Nani their first starts against us and might actually play two up top - I'm just expecting a tougher opposition.

KENNY DALGLISH insists the time has come to draw a line under the Luis Suarez race row ahead of Liverpool FC’s clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

The Reds striker is guaranteed a hostile reception at Old Trafford as he prepares to face United for the first time since serving an eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

Suarez, who made his comeback against Tottenham on Monday night, has said his “conscience is clear” and warned the boos will only “spur me on”.

Dalglish, who confirmed Suarez will shake hands with Evra and all the United players, is keen to ensure a highly-charged fixture is remembered for all the right reasons.

“Everyone involved, including the media, the supporters and both teams have a responsibility to ensure this weekend is remembered as a cracking game of football between two very good sides, rather than for anything else,” he said.

“I thought everyone involved in the FA Cup tie at Anfield played their part in making sure that the match was played in the right way, so let’s make sure that happens again this weekend.

“I’m sure people will want to talk about Luis Suarez, but he accepted his ban, served his suspension and returned. It’s time for all of us to draw a line and move forward.

“People are already speculating on the pre-match ceremony, but from Luis’s point of view we have spoken to him and I know he will shake the hand of Patrice Evra and the other Manchester United players before the game.”

The Premier League have no plans to cancel the pre-match handshakes at Old Trafford.

A precedent was set when QPR faced Chelsea in the last round of the FA Cup. The pleasantries were cancelled in an effort to ease tensions due to John Terry’s charge of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, an allegation the Chelsea captain denies.

But the Premier League believes cancelling them at Old Trafford on Saturday would negate the point of having the tradition in the first place.

ive been on redcafe.net this morning to see what the mancs are saying re suarez and the game. id hazard a guess at 95% want the entire man u team to refuse to shake suarez hand and to boo him throughout the game - not just boo but hound him. the usual drivel of "suarez a racist" is also followed by "kennys a racist too" and it appears he will take a load of abuse as well.

                      should be entertaining

Can you imagine the impact that would have? As a grown man, having other men refuse to shake your hand. Devastating.

There is no point in having them in the first place, so that would be impossible.

Another 4-1 scoreline will soon make them forget the booing.

I don't get what the difference is between cancelling them for Chelsea v QPR and for us?

Why is it okay to do it for one and not the other?

Or was it to save England's Brave John Terry from any embarrassment?
