If he'd have just shook his hand we could have drawn a line under this whole episode, instead no matter what the outcome of the match all the post match reports will be about the handshake that didn't happen and this will just drag onOriginally posted by Chrono View PostI'm pretty sure we have. Under the same circumstances I wouldn't shake Evra's hand. Don't see why Suarez needs to validate Evra in any way shape or form.We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Thats it. Even a cursory or sarcastically delivered handshake could have diffused it all. It was childish I reckon.Originally posted by Gaz View PostIf he'd have just shook his hand we could have drawn a line under this whole episode, instead no matter what the outcome of the match all the post match reports will be about the handshake that didn't happen and this will just drag on

And then we don't play them until next season and the issue will fade away until then.Originally posted by Gaz View PostIf he'd have just shook his hand we could have drawn a line under this whole episode, instead no matter what the outcome of the match all the post match reports will be about the handshake that didn't happen and this will just drag on

I understand what you are saying but I see him shaking Evra's hand as in some way saying I accept what happened and now I am ok with it. He feels he has been labelled a racist, stopped from playing football, destroyed in the media and abused constantly. It's very easy for Evra to move on but I completely understand that Suarez does not want to.Originally posted by Gaz View PostIf he'd have just shook his hand we could have drawn a line under this whole episode, instead no matter what the outcome of the match all the post match reports will be about the handshake that didn't happen and this will just drag on
We as a club move on, Suarez on the other hand does not want to in any way accept what has happened and clearly hates the man.
