Absolute joke of a game - they were so poor & we were even worse ffs! Exactly the same as teh FA Cup tie imo - we were just less bad than they were. If this Man U nited wins the title the season it will be a travesty to football! We were so comfortable in the 1st half & then gave it away in the 2nd only to then wake when we were gifted a goal back. And as for Carroll losing EVERY header against a player nearly a foot shorter than him (Rafael) is just criminal!

I'm just glad that's over frankly.

We didn't play well at all, but some people have gone a bit ott about it, I've seen us play worse at OT over the years. Come to think of it, they played just as badly at our place earlier this season, difference was they didn't gift us a second goal in that game and were able to jam a draw.

Spearing did look a bit out of his depth, and Downing was terrible. Enrique had a dodgy game too, but he got no support against valencia who was, imo, their best player. We've got a lot of work to do still, but I don't think we really found anything out today that we didn't know.

Oh, and everything that happened today convinced me even more that Suarez genuinely feels wronged by the whole Evra thing. Personally, despite the inevitable bad press etc, I don't blame him for not shaking the guy's hand.

I agree with just about all of it, and have to add that Henderson where also very poor in midfield today. Spearing did well in the first half defensively, but completely lost it in the second and his passing is just far to poor in this match, and in most others.

Also furstrating how few players we have that take initiative and responsibility. It is basically Gerrard that have to take everything in to own hands in midfield today.
