I think it would be a good idea. The club willingly or unwillingly released a statement and have moved on. It would be better if we can do the same too.

Personally I'm happy that all this **** stirring has stopped and we can concentrate on the cup final. Now if onyl Suarez can nutmeg and score a couple of goals and let his work do the talking in the press, that would be great

Just as a point. Even if one person still wanted to debate, shouldn't the thread still be kept open? I would like it shut, but Im not one for oppressing free speech.

Obviously we all want it to be over, but like it or not it is going to be in the press for at least the next week or so, there will be issues that people will want to discuss. That might as well be kept all together in one thread - which people can choose to ignore if they want to, otherwise discussions will probably spill over into other threads.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If you don't like the discussion, don't come in the thread (Alex )

I'm of the opinion that if you don't want to talk about, don't click on the thread. I can't see anything wrong with leaving it open and letting the people that do want to talk about it, talk about it.

Hopefully this issue will be long dead before the final in two weeks, and hopefully most people will have moved on by themselves and not keeping the issue alive.

Not that the Torres thread provides much hope of that happening

Lock the threads on the forum? What, and turn this place into ****ing RAWK or something. Bollocks.

There's much more inane ****e on this site that needs to be deleted or locked. I think the title is usually a giveaway. Don't like it - don't open it.
