Read an interview with him where he says hes completely different off the pitch to how he is on the pitch. I'd like to believe him.

When I went to Cardiff for the League Cup final in 2003, I went on the train and the police had set up gates and so you could only go through one at a time and were searching people for booze as got to the platform. There was a huge amount of booze confiscated.

How on earth is it illegal to be in possession of alcohol? Consumption maybe, but what offense is being committed by having it in a bag?

The train company are entitled to say they don't want booze on board.

Sure, but I don't get how is it a criminal offense?

                      Consuming is another matter.
