Oh ffs lots of finals are like this, we've played well to get here, we've found a way to win when playing poorly, we've done everything successfull football teams do when winning trophies.

I really didn't think we would struggle so badly, but we did exactly what we did against Birmingham in 2001 - and that kickstarted a very successful phase. Unfortunately I think we are at about the same level as we were back then and nowhere near the peak we reached under Rafa (if he'd bought one good striker that Jan when we sold Keane, we'd have won the league that year and he'd still be in charge - we might still have G&H as well though)... hopefully we'll see a boost in confidence, some more investment and quality signings and get back up there.
