Henderson and Downing have been awful signings. We had the opportunity to spend money on those wide positions and really take the team forward to a new level, but instead we wasted it on two mental midgets who can't handle the pressure.

Frustrating is probably the only word to describe this.

We bossed Arsenal for 97 minutes pretty much, and VP have to chances and they win.

We where yet again the much better team at anfield, and yet again again our strikers (and midfielders) can't manage to score.

We need a VP kind of striker in the team, and we would easily be in top-4. That position was most likely lost for this season today

Yes we had a good performance today in midfield and attacking 3rd but it's one game, we rarely play like this.

We need miles more quality in midfield.

we bossed the midfield for most of the game matt. its the forwards positions we're struggling in. luis is great but in that role up front its all about goals. van persie didn't do a lot and grabs two goals. luis ran his arse off and got nothing.

lot of over reaction again here. if you can't score pens you're in trouble. simple. time and again we **** it up.

the league cup really does mean nothing if we can't use it to kick on. a spot in the uefa league is not much consolation for our league form this season.

Yes we played well but the name of the game is to score goals and win games and time and again we've not done that.

In light of the likelihood of no Champions League football again next season (and due to the fact we're already in the Europa League) i'd like to see Coates, Robinson, Shelvey and Sterling given opportunities in the first team.
