Re the 2nd question - you dont want Kenny gone - and he isnt going to change his footballing philosophies - so either you accept him for what he is and how he does things (eg, stop whinging about it every week) - or you decide you cant accept those things and therefore want a different manager.
    1) You're welcome to think that.

    2) Or we could buy better players and if you don't like what I say, ignore me. It isn't hard now is it.

That's my point though - Kenny will buy who he thinks is right. Either you accept that or you want him gone. He isnt going to change his philosophies to suit you.

Sorry but that is nonsense and you can support a manager and not agree with his signings

So a manager will keep doing the opposite of what you think is right, yet you want him to stay and keep making what are, in your mind, the wrong decisions?

            MicktheClick? Sorry mate; Guess I didn't quite elaborate just What I meant by the "crassness" involved in That deal last Winter Window no? What I meant Was crass/Far to hasty & It cannot be argued given How well we did without him even when he was in the team? Was the decision to immediately reinvest everything from Torres that didn't go on Suarez? On Carroll alongside him just because we got a sniff that Carroll Might be available for a ridiculous price that would not only remove the remainder of the Torres money from us but more besides. I also heartily disliked & still do the idea of doing that Just because Carroll was available immediately as it were in place of looking for a more reliable finisher during the time we obviously scouted & chose him; In short? Had we bought a Bent style striker at minimum or a Soldado/Jovetic/Cavani - Even a Forlan style/strike rate forward instead to fit In with the team pattern rather than give us a crass & wholly unsuitable for Kenny's style of play Plan B Like Carroll? Then I doubt Very much that A) We would be having this discussion now as;

B)? Our Rate of Home wins & trashing of ****e sides? Would look/have continued something like the blaze it began Kenny's new reign in last season where the likes of Brum, Fulham, City & United, Wolves & Chelsea were all swept aside with ease & made to look the ****e sides that many of them Were last season - And I include United in that - They did well last year overall no doubt but IMO & not Just mine? Were there for the taking & embarrasing. It's Just no-one exposed them bar in Europe & us at Anfield. I remember Ferguson ranting on after the CL final last May about "never having suffered a defeat of that magnitude or been made to look that ridiculous by another side for a long time" which I found highly amusing as he Only had to go back two months to March 2011 & his favourite ground of all to find Just such a game - Somehow it slipped his mind though - Funny that.............

Anyway my point stands - I think Carroll was entirely the wrong player for the wrong price at the wrong time - We could of bought Stefan Jovetic & paid half of what we needed for Cavani or bought Lukas Podolski outright alongside him maybe even Soldado
with the price of Carroll alone & Any of those never mind a couple of them would have fitted in Far better with the style Kenny clearly loves his sides to play which is basically Arsenal's under Wenger but turbo-charged & possibly also harks back to our own lamented long-lost side of '88 - Any of those options as I said? Would have been Far better than Andy Carroll - The more? The better - Still? Far to late to worry about that now - Spilt milk & all that. Guess we'll just have to wait & employ better scouts for the summer before FSG open the coffers once more & hope that this Time? Comolli does his bloody job properly as I doubt another season where our strikers let us down This much? Will be looked on quite so kindly by the owners never mind with That car-crash of a Home record - In spite of silverware? They Can't be happy with our league record which is abysmal of late to say the least. Still, things can only get better - Forwards & Upwards we go..................

NB Also to those who moaned about the corners today in this & other threads I've seen? We've scored quite a Lot from corners this season - Vs Brighton the other week in the FA Cup - In the final last week, a couple v Aston Villa & one v Bolton in August are the ones I can remember off the top of my head & sure there are more so yes, our corners/danger rate from them? Has definitely improved somewhat under Kenny even if that particular attribute deserted us today when we Really could of done with it.

NBB MickTheClick? It's the Bold key - Not the Caps. LOL Just How I type mate. Have been at it like this for Far to long to change now at This late stage............

NBBB With respect Phil Neal mate? You're talking utter trash - We only say we're That close? Because we Are - All we need adding is a striker who puts away those myriad of chances we Keep contriving to create & miss - Not a winger, not another midfielder, not a withdrawn forward - Just a Clinical Striker; It Is That ruddy simple FFS!! We're not moaning about not creating enough chances or our defence or 'controlling games' Are we? Ergo there's only One thing wrong with us though it's The hardest problem of All in football to solve. Add a Torres/Fowler/Owen/Anelka/Aguero/Rooney even a Dzeko/Kuyt of last season/Rodriguez (and where the hell has He gone?)/Darren Bent/Adebayor style finisher to the side & let them get In form & start putting those chances away? And we'll be laughing. As I said? There's just One thing wrong with us - We're hardly like we were under Hodgson so to say we're "a million miles away"? Is quite frankly utterly laughable & completely wrong. There's only One problem with us - Kenny has to solve it yes but he will - & When he does? Your words will be shown up for what they are - Mark my words...............

Likewise though, it's not fair to just judge on the last 10 games either. So let's use the whole season.

It's fair to say that, with TWENTY ONE cases of hitting the woodwork and countless missed sitters, the margins between us being where we are now and having another 10-12 points, is really very fine indeed and is perhaps not a million miles more than something a good finisher would bridge.
I do agree that a good finisher will pull us up the table. No doubt about that. With a good finisher we maybe in the mix for 3rd and 4th also. But I think that is where this team will hit the ceiling.

I don't see the basis for a team which will challenge for the league in this teams attacking players. I think we will have to go one more round of purchasing or hopefully there are some real gems in our youth team who can step up to that level in order for us to compete at the highest level.

              Thank you Mostar.

I noticed that your work has been under-appreciated in this thread. Thanks for the videos and gifs

You may well be right there mate, but if what you've said there is true, is that really any real shame? Kenny's only been here 1 year. Obviously it'll take time to build a side capable of a title challenge.

BTW are we cursed on This date? Sunday 3rd March 1991? We played Arsenal of All teams & utterly pulverised them then? Paul Fcuking Merson of All people - Grabbed victory halfway through the second half with one of only Two chances they had.

Saturday 3rd March 2007? We played the Manc's in the O'shea game which says it all. Pretty much same story as that first Arsenal game with O'shea substituting for Merson & getting it Right at the end. Battered them like I've seen Few teams pound them & just cannot fcuking score with predictable results.

Now? Saturday 3rd March 2012? We get This? Right down to the script of smashing them all Over the park & somehow? Managing to lose - At least we managed to score this time & could have had yet another hatful but didn't & lost after pathetically conceding the lead. What the **** Is it with us on the 3rd March & Home games particularly against Arsenal on this date? Have we walked under ladders or killed black cats or something? Very odd....................

NB Kuyt was stupid - Should have left the rebound to that pen' to Henderson or at least have really whacked it rather than trying to Place it. Made it easy for Scezney the second time if you ask me. He wouldn't have saved from Henderson or a Well-struck Kuyt rebound. The limp bobbler he did get aimed at him? Virtually screamed "save me" at him & he had time to put on a cap against the sun in his face, smoke a cigar & duly oblige..................

NBB If we don't buy a finisher of Van Persie or even Darren Bent/Dzeko class in the summer? I will personally hunt down Commoli I think after his pathetic little 'lowering expectations' speech last week seemingly aimed at given him/the owners a chance of weasling out on giving the team the One Final thing it needs after doing all the rest & then sitting there scratcing their heads affecting to not know Why things aren't changing in front of goal & in the league; They know - They Have to know - It's that fcuking obvious!!! If they don't solve that one final problem now? They're failing in their duty as owners & have no right to then moan about us Not progressing up the league not to mention Commolli whose been pretty much useless from the start; In short, Andy Carroll? Was the wrong man at the wrong time - Torres? Should have been replaced by someone similar to his Former quality - Not doing so? Was a glaring error & however much they don't want to face that & admit their mistake? Now really Needs correcting else we'll be having the same conversations & post mortems in a year's time. We really Need a finisher & had better get one by hell or high water come the summer else? We're going nowhere fast..............

Redshadow: We need better wide players, we need another striker and a couple of midfielders.
