For me Arsenal have had their share of lousy luck too, along with a good slice of **** defending and being reliant on one player.

It's not just bad luck or lack of bottle, it's a bit of both...and some other reasons too, truth is neither side is good enough yet.

On the subject of bad luck though, the amount of shots we've had on goal in some games....i'd expect a bigger average to go in if the player shooting was blindfolded.

One thing yesterdays game proved beyond any doubt - Carra is finished at the top level. Has been for some time truth be told.

Can someone tell me which of these conflicting arguments they're going with this week?
Carroll is never far enough forward or predatory to take them anyway

A couple of defensive errors and a good performance from us attacking wise. How people can blame Dalglish for one players errors and other players inability to put the ball in the back of the net is beyond me. Dalglish has made us into an exciting attacking team and I'm still behind him.

Yesterday was possibly our most convincing attacking performance of the season. People must have very short memories if they think yesterday was typical.

Chances that decent finishers would take

Its absolute nonsense to suggest otherwise

Suarez chance were he hit the post was an EASY chance the angle wasnt acute he had as much area as Van Persie did to hit into

Van Persie scored his clear cut chance, Suarez didnt
You think that. I think the 2 chances were very different.

I personally think you are making excuses for our inadequate midfield. Oh and you need to learn the difference between fact and opinion.

How many of them are created each game by other clubs??

FACT is we are creating as clear cut chances VERY week that players at Arsenal, Man U, City and dare I say it even Newcastle would have buried
No I am not and you seem to be unable to differentiate between fact and opinion still.

Not at all. We have had plenty great attacking performances. Recently hasn't been so good but in the first half of the season we had very similar attacking performances to the Arsenal one. Loads of chances and nobody putting them away. That WAS typical of us this season. What isn't typical is when we create very little and that is not often.

we have no devine right to win games. the league progession is slowly than expected but you have to be mental not to see we're going forward. this seasons home results are bizarre, a bit like the time I bet on black 14 times in a row at a casino and lost each time, I walked away skint and ****ing red next roll! lady luck, voodoo, witchcraft, poor finishing, whatever it is, its just bizarre. those missed pens are the reason we're off the pace.
I get what you're saying but this bad luck stuff is tedious! Sometimes you have to make you're own luck, we have nobody to blame but ourselves for our league position. The players and kenny are culpable, for me it's pretty much as simple as that. And i 100% expected us to go forward, and if everyone else is being honest they'd have expected the same thing. I think we like to make too many excuses at LFC, there is being loyal.. and there is being realistic.

In regards to the bolded, i don't think we are playing nice football at all, i think we play slow, lethargic and predictable football. The fact that we created so many chance against Arsenal, shows just how dire they were yesterday. They managed to get 3 points out of a game that they didn't even bother showing up for, simply it is a results business and all the couldas, and shouldas mean don't mean anything at the end of the day. I don't know what happened to Kenny's pass and move IMO hasn't being visible in our team this season, and alot of the players we have brought in do not suit that philosophy in the slightest, which makes me wonder why the hell we bought them in the first place.

And you say 5th,6th,7th matters little, i just don't understand that. Our aim was 4th spot, make no mistake about that. And short of a miracle we ain't going to achieve that. Cups will be a bonus no doubts but ultimately the champs league was our goal.

We have just bossed Arsenal (one of the top teams in the PL) around for 98 minutes, with our 2 best midfielders out injured, and we have a weak midfield?? We are controlling most games we play apart from the obvious 2-3 teams, and it's the midfield that is the point of blame?

Besides Adam, I think we have a very good midfield. Gerrard is world class, Lucas have turned himself in to a world class midfielder, Henderson have played well over the season (and very well today), Spearing although not quite there to be a starter does decent as a squad player and we have a few good looking prospects.

Our main problem is further up the pitch, where our wingers/IF are not scoring enough and our strikers are quilty of the very same.

We have the foundation for a top-4 challenging team, we just need some better players up front that scores goals. Suarez, Carroll, Kuyt and Downing are just to ineffective. Only player that have been consistently effective is Bellamy and he can't play all the games we need him to unfortunatly. Give me a striker and a better winger and I think we are looking good.
I love Stevie but i think it's highly debatable whether he is world class these days. And completely disagree about Hendo playing well this season.

Regarding Gerrard, the only game he has really looked his best in the league this season was as a sub against Newcastle.

I think the season must look better in hindsight. There have been games when we have dominated and not got the points, such as stoke, but the story of our season is having lots of possession where it doesn't count, teams waiting for us to attack and us proving toothless when we do. Now you can say we have dominated those games, but it doesn't really mean much. Last weeks cup final was far more typical.

I think Henderson should be playing in Adam's position alongside Gerrard with Lucas behind them when he is back. Adam just doesn't do enough and should be on the bench. Henderson looks a lot livelier in the centre.

Well it's good that we're not a 1 man team anymore.
