    Hitting the posts

I'm just wondering if anyones kept track of how many times we've hit the goal posts this season and how many in each game with who. I'm almost confident theres some dark voodoo going on.

You're not the first person I've heard mention dark voodoo concerning our club. They were being serious too.

Hitting the post doesn't get you goals. It's not really a stat that interests me.

Could it be because the way we attack means we're shooting from tight angles.

Does hitting the woodwork constitute a strike on target? Always wondered that.

As a striker I underwent a post crisis (honestly no joke, I was either hitting it too often or just missing on the outside). Extra practice and adjusting my body position slightly at key moments fixed that.

Extra training - is it really rocket science?

We should have brought in Robbie to teach them how to put the ball in between the two posts.

Great players don't often make great teachers unfortunately. 'Lesser' players just don't pick up the little things that these great players possess, and the great players can't understand why these little things are so hard to pick up. Frustration all round.

This is why we have coaches, but I just don't think we're putting in enough practice in this part of our play. And its clearly showing.

If it goes in off the post yes, if it comes out off the post no

How many times have we hit the post from tight angles though? I can remember Suarez doing it a couple of times, but most of the ones I remember aren't from tight angles they're from between the posts, although perhaps this is why I remember those - because they are bad misses

I dont see them as goals but as a curious stat. Hitting the post isnt easy. And I fail to recall a team in all the years I've watched this sport hit the posts as many times as we have this season. So its a pretty interesting stat. Like lightning striking 3 times.

I would also like to have Ferugson thrown into a lake and see if he floats.
