I officially stopped after the Millie Dowler hacking stories, it was just too far. They only way they'll stop behaving so abhorrently is if we stop buying them. I never bought that particular newspaper, but the methods are clearly in place throughout the whole of the industry.

The press has a huge part to play in the amorality of modern society.

Obviously he meant that figuratively.
Loved the Guardian before (hacking scandal exposed) but cant watch that advert running on the telly without hurling abuse. Surely if they were as diligent as they make out then they would have read the ****ing report and at least pointed out the inconsistencies.

But, if we keep the pressure on Evra, United, the FA, and the media and continue to highlight the hypocrisy that has underlined this case from the very beginning, eventually the ivory tower that they're all sitting in will come crashing down. These kind of issues are never easy, and there are going to be dark days when even us as fans get smeared with the tar brush. Once we waver and let those ****wits win, we'll never hear the end of it. Every time the team features in the media there will be references to the incident. The only way to stop it is to not let it rest until the miscarriage of justice is exposed. An innocent man will fight for his freedom for as long as it takes, and his family will stand behind him every step of the way.

It is a great post - but, with all respect, nothing that some of us have been saying all along - Elephantman for example.

              Still...

Superb from Glen, but looks like someone at the FA is having a veiled dig:

“Liverpool found themselves a lone voice, and the fact they found themselves a lone voice says it all. But the reaction to Suárez and other incidents demonstrates how committed many millions of fans are to stamp this out.”

But all in all it hasn't gone as silly as I thought it might. Glen's put his point across very well and I reckon there are more people than we might think who are sympathetic to the points he made - and to Louis' predicament.

The most important sentence of the article is this one

"It ought to be stated here that — in this interview — he was merely asked some questions and he answered them candidly."

This is being missed across th whole of the media - he hasn't sought to "reignite" the racism issue between Suarez and Evra - he was asked questions and answered them. I have more respect for reasoned opinions than evasiveness. Well done Glen.

You're right mate that fact is Very important but I disagree with you on One key point in this? It's Not a fact that was missed across the media Daniel - It was Ignored; There's a Big difference between the two or to put it another way? The media Have their story/narrativ/view of things & will Only use stuff that fits into that publicly to support their own view of matters (and crucify us which was their aim All along). Do you really think Them being the cause of Johnson saying all that by Asking him about it is in said narrative? Don't make me laugh................

A semantic I didn't really emphasize enough. You're absolutely right.
