    Vs Everton build up

Well, what do we all think. Blood the youngsters, or stick with what we have and try some new systems? Or same as Sunderland?
    *Except Michael, who died.

    Drop Adam and Henderson.

Possibly have a couple of youngsters on the bench.

Maybe bring Carroll back in? meh.
The times they are a changin'.

We'll win this for sure. A big enough game for the small time mentality to shine in front of the cameras.

I'm expecting Carroll and Gerrard to start with Kuyt and Downing. Adam on the bench, but he'll come on later and make a foul.

Is this now considered a big game again?
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Nah, they wont. They will be 11 packed in their own penalty area as usual though, will be tough to break.

When did the derby cease to be a big game?

If you're suggesting that we're somehow ****/not a big club or whatever, because the derby is a big game, then i'd have to disagree.

If we play the youngsters and lose, the internets will explode.

We need our strongest eleven and look at how we react to the Sunderland 'performance'.

First of all, I think Spearing deserves to be picked ahead of Adam and Henderson. He's the "reserve captain and a championship player" according to some, but in my opinion he's shown the 20m duo of great signings how do you play for this club. Unfortunately they haven't picked up on any of his advice, absolute ****in dross in the recent matches. Drop both, bring in Shelvey and Gerrard and let's finally have some imagination, creativity and desire in midfield.
Carroll and Suarez also need to start, with either Kuyt, Bellamy or Maxi, don't wanna see Downing anywhere near our attack. He's had two good matches this year, Cardiff and Oldham - **** off to Championship you useless waste of space, time and money.
The defense is alright, bring in Johnson if he's fit, otherwise leave it as it was, Seb ahead of Carra.
Seeing any of our youth players like Suso, Sterling, Coady or Silva on the bench is a fantasy so I won't even go there.

This whole idea of 'play the kids' is ludicrous, it's so far from what will actually happen that it doesnt even merit serious discussion.

I find it weird that every season Everton start off horrendously, and then start a push up the table in the second half of the season. Happens every season!

                        I like that!

                        Reina

                        Johnson, Skrtel, Coates, Enrique

                        Gerrard, Spearing, Shelvey

                        Suarez, Carroll, Kuyt/Bellamy.

for the first time in ages everton are the favourites in this game. not looking forward to this at all.

                          another loss would be catastrophic.

Personally, i think 442 is the way to go for this game. Or 4411, if you like.

Get Carroll up top with Suarez just off him. Spearing and Gerrard in CM - there's enough bite there for a derby but Gerrard adds quality too. Dirk out on the right (he has form when it comes to derby games) and Bellamy on the left (even though that wont happen). If not, then i suppose Downing for some directness and natural 'winger-ness'.

                              Says who?

We are 4/6, they are 4/1.

The idea that Everton are 'favourites' for this game isnt even debatable, it's factually incorrect.
