As we need to win, I think Downing, Adam and Carroll should be far away from the starting 11.

Carroll should start this one.

He did pretty well against them last time we faced them and not playing again would completely distroy even a little confidence that he has left if he is dropped 3rd game in a row.

Also if he doesn't play from the very beginning it really may be the indication of what will happen to him in the summer.

While he scored at Goodison, he didn't think he played great. I just think we are a far superior team without him, especially if Carragher is going to play.

I would suggest that Carroll will be gone in the summer anyway, if any reasonable offer comes in for him. He just doesn't fit in with the Liverpool style.

He had no support whatsoever until Stevie and Bellamy came in the second half and his goal made the difference that day.

What was Kuyt contribution this past Saturday and Maxi didn't really impress last few games he played neither.

The reality is that all 3 had been playing bad for the most part this season (+- ocassional highlight) and personally none of them are good enough to start any more.

True, but Maxi has only had 10 games this season and done more than Downing has in 28.

It had to be that way at least initially as he was our big time money signing this past summer.

There was no way that he would be sitting on the bench and Maxi playing.

True, but that doesn't change the fact that Maxi has been extremely unused despite the fact we need goals and he can score and takes up much better positions.
