Our players out on loan

He was excellent in his time there. I go to LOI games on a regular basis (season ticket holder at Turner Park to watch the mighty mighty Cork City FC ) and he was an absolute wall in goal for Pats.


Speaking of Pats, mentioned it some time back but we are linked to their right back too. Sam Curtis. Cracking player that has been a stand out player against grown men for some time now and still in his teens. Bit of a touch of a right sided Andy Robertson to how he plays and in how spikey he can be.


Melia at Pats looks good too but still 15 or 16 years of age.


Kone Doherty who we got from Derry FC was another that was standing out over here.

Ogbene at Luton was another that played both here in Cork and up the road in Limerick and looked a real talent. Still does to be fair though is 26 now.

Cathal Heffernan was another that was very good here in Cork but Newcastle snapped him up. Still a teen but plays beyond his years. Newcastle have gotten a few young talents from the LOI in recent seasons.


What seems to be happening with a lot of the young talent now in the LOI is that Serie A clubs are nipping in to get players on trials or to sign outright ahead of the PL and Championship teams. Regular thing now to have scouts from Serie A clubs at the games here.

Some good scouting there Jaco, will be expecting regular updates in this thread then.

Nobody else we've loaned out seems to be getting on for better teams, so he should get some first team football at least.

He'll also be able to put some of the lads up in his house to celebrate after winning Europa League.

Tyler Morton sounds like he’s having a good loan at Hull.

I didn’t but saw both played the full 90 with Moreton getting a 91st min goal in the 2-1 loss.

Morton looked good. Composed and played some nice long range passes and a couple shorter ones to open them up and was always available and wanting the ball. First time I’ve seen him play.

Fabio started brightly and was putting in the effort and tried to make things happen but looked like a player who hasn’t played a lot recently but I liked his attitude. Faded as the game went on but still played the full game. Hopefully that’s a manager trusting him to stay on and help them back in the game.

I remember when you could watch a couple A-League games then straight in to the early Premier League match and keep going until about 4am. Boza and Robbie Slater talking absolute crap but non stop football all day. Once fox sports lost the premier league their coverage when to crap and Paramount wasn’t very good for the A-League before I left.

They have the A-League on here so I sometimes get to watch Brisbane play but if you want a club with terrible owners there isn’t many worse plus the new manager quit to take up an assistants job in China with Kevin Muscat ridiculous

I think Morton is ****in brilliant. I saw him play for Blackburn last season and he was a class above anyone else on the pitch.

I genuinely think he is some talent but he might end up being a victim of trying to break into a team that already has an abundance of young talent

Yeah it’s a joke that’s for sure. Ch 10 is the official supplier now so I’m in the middle of back to back matches followed by Australia vs India in the opening Asian Cup match.
