I had a similar incidence once in a council car park. No problem, they took a reasonable view and once they'd seen the ticket was valid they let me off.Originally posted by Boogs View PostI did the same a few years back in South Norwood, out side the police station and they let me off
Unfortunately this was a car park contracted to a private company and now they can no longer clamp they'll find 100 other ways to **** you over instead.

I did the same a few years back in South Norwood, out side the police station and they let me offOriginally posted by Cormack74 View PostI checked - one of the terms was that the ticket had to be correctly displayed (i.e. visible) and it wasn't - they even included a nice picture of it on my dashboard when they sent me the fine.
I appealed showing that my ticket was valid at the time of the "offence" even though it had been accidentally placed face down but in their wisdom they chose not to accept the appeal.
Why would they when they can mug people off so easily

Ojo scores for Wolves (against 10 man Fulham)

What a strike from Sheyi Ojo! With options he cuts inside and curls a beauty of a right-footed curler into the far corner. Strike!Wolves ✔

Outstanding work from Ojo on the left wing to beat three men before staring the move. Free-kick in a good position.Last edited by redmike65; 29-09-15, 09:44 PM.

i have a dispute with a company representing Liverpool JLA for over a year now over a "stopping offence" at the approach to the airport. Will not pay.
I would actually rather pay a couple of g's going to court rather than the 140 notes they now want off me.
**** 'em.

Now that would have been harsh.

Anyway as it turned out the *******s only used a PO Box address so I would have had to have sent it and the weight of the parcel would have meant I was paying almost as much in postage as I was paying for the fine.
I'm still contemplating sending a turd in a shoe box at some stage - the fine still rankles.

We did that at the dockyard when they overpaid us all about £20. We had to pay it back but we could fix the amount weekly, so we fixed it a penny off our wages a week. As they rounded our pay packets normally they had to pay us 99p in change every single week on top of the notes. They gave it up in the end and just wrote it off.
I imagine getting £50 in pennies is pretty hard work. Hope the gag was worth it!
