    Everton match thread

post in here if you feel the need.
Steven Gerrard returns to the Liverpool starting line-up for tonight's Anfield clash with Everton – listen live online from 7.55pm GMT.

The midfielder captains the Reds in the Merseyside derby and is joined in the XI by Jamie Carragher, Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll.

Liverpool: Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Skrtel, Carragher, Spearing, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Suarez, Carroll. Subs: Doni, Shelvey, Maxi, Flanagan, Kuyt, Adam, Coates.
Everton manager David Moyes has made six changes for tonight’s Merseyside derby at Anfield.

With the game coming just days after the hard-fought win over Spurs and an FA Cup quarter-final against Sunderland this Saturday, Moyes has opted to shuffle his pack.

Tony Hibbert and skipper for the night Phil Jagielka come into the back four in place of Phil Neville and John Heitinga, respectively. Leighton Baines and Sylvain Distin keep their places.

In midfield, Steven Pienaar returns having been precluded from playing against parent club Spurs on Saturday and could play through the middle with Tim Cahill dropping out.

Seamus Coleman keeps his place, as does Marouane Fellaini, but Jack Rodwell and Victor Anichebe come into the side with Royston Drenthe and Leon Osman dropping out.

Denis Stracqualursi gets the nod up front ahead of Nikica Jelavic. Tim Howard as always takes his place between the sticks.

Neville, Heitinga, Cahill, Osman, Jelavic and Drenthe are all on a bench completed by sub keeper Jan Mucha.

Everton: Howard, Baines, Hibbo, Jags, Distin, Fellaini, Rodwell, Pienaar, Coleman, Strac, Anichebe. Subs: Neville, Heitinga, Cahill, Osman, Jelavic, Drenthe, Mucha.

          This is quiet.

Hope Carroll nods two in from Downing's crosses and Flanagan and Shelvey get a decent run out.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I swear if they force feed us another piss poor performance it'll be the last time I stay up during ungodly hours for my time zone to watch a Liverpool game again this season.

Is Bellamy injured - given that he isn't on the bench?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
