I disagree.

He had some nice touches and passes and it was his 1-2 pass with Suarez that led to the goal.

I would put downing back on the left and move maxi to the right. one thing I dont like about downing is his pussyness. at this level you cant he scared of the ball or getting tackled.

Carroll frustrates me when he links up with Suarez, then makes no effort to get up and support.

I'd take him out too and put Kuyt instead but I expect to see Maxi being pulled out, Downing switched to the left and Kuyt on the right.

Carroll totally blew it there. Nowhere near.

Kelly cannot give us anything offensively which is why we miss GJ so badly.
