Not sure you're right, the guys on the end of the chances would still have had to finish them, not a strong point for us this season!

I know, but we haven't really played to Carroll's strengths though. In my head, I remember Dossena swinging in Stevie G type crosses that the big man would hopefully be getting on the end of.

Edit: Crosses like I expected pre-season from Adam and Gerrard if we played a midfield 3.

He is exceptional in that area when he does find himself in that position but unfortuntely that doesn't happen very often.
