We’ve been extremely poor in places, but look objectively at the result last night; we were 2-0 up away from home and cruising, our team selection and the way we were playing was not even an after-thought, then individual and collective errors have resulted in us losing.

At what point in those 15 minutes did Kenny cause us a mischief?

Yes, there are some serious issues in our team and Kenny does hold responsibility, but not for last night.

For all those clamouring for Rafa, how long did it take for him to instill our never-say-die attitude or a resolute defence from zonal marking? I’m a fan of Rafa, but say we get him back – are we going to afford him more than 18 months to restore that belief and revert back to zonal-marking, etc?

Lec, performances are much better sometimes, but nowhere near as much as you make out & still a long way from where we should be (& I mean 4th not 1st by that).

      I just dont know anymore.
      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Do you really think that? Sterling has come on a lot since Christmas, before that he was poor but he hadn't had a break after playing through the summer.
The penalty he won against Ajax proved to me how much he has progressed, early in the game and he throws in a step over and goes outside the full back, previously he was always coming onto his right foot whereas now he has clearly worked on being as comfortable going the other way.
He also went outside and stood up a great ball to the far post with his left

Last season and the start of this coming inside was his default and you could always tell when he would try and go down the line because he had to think about it first, now it appears to come much more naturally to him.

I'm not sure he's ready but he's a damn sight closer than any of the others. Did you see the ressie game against Arsenal?

Maybe the cup runs have been a distraction? It's a shocking league run in 2012.

Some games we are off form but I think people let results cloud their judgement of the actual performance levels

Its understandable but at times there is too much emotion involved when assessing things

They didnt look ready for reserve level

Suso & Sterling have picked up in recent weeks but I dont think they have progressed beyond anything they offerred last year

Coady and Morgan look to have gone backwards to me, I thought Coady would have a chance to make it but I'd be extremely surprised if that happened now
I've always been of the opinion that it's wrong to throw youth players in at the deep end, could do more harm than good.
But I believed there has been many chances to give them a go, be it on the bench, or 5 minutes at the end.

Yes I did see the Arsenal game but he was putting in that sort of form a lot last season, hes only started to do that in the last few weeks

we've played well at times this season but it's all about the number of points you pick up over a season and we've not got anywhere close to enough.

What I don't understand is Flanagan played well last season when brought into the team, he's sub last night I presume on merit yet Kenny doesn't trust him enough to put him on when Kelly came off injured, I know Coates scored a great goal but he should have been playing anyway.

I'm genuinelly bemused why Kenny didn't replace a right back with a right back, pushing Carra out there at 34 or however old he is these days was wrong on so many levels.

If Flanagan is good enough and deserves to be on the bench then use him, if he isn't then don't have him there, he'll be thinking today that he can't get a chance when Johnson and Kelly are injured then what is the point.

I dont have any memory loss. Short or long. Although I cant remember conceding three goals in the last 13 minutes to lose a match 3 - 2 under Woy. Maybe you can remind me.

                            I believe they are

And yes its a results business but based on that we'd also be ****ing off your beloved Suarez because despite his skill hes failed to deliver enough results often enough

You make allowances for Suarez and I'm making allowances for performances which I believe have been far superior than they were under Roy

We didnt concede 3 in the last 15 minutes but we got beaten at home by Northampton, Blackpool, Wolves and got murdered by Blackburn in possibly the worst performance I've ever watched from an LFC side

I understand people bemoaning conceding those goals but I think its skewing their judgement of the season

People are angry and rightly so but I think that anger is clouding their judgement IMO

I agree that he has picked up his performances recently but for me as an ex player I see clear signs of him learning, developing and becoming a better player.
The point I was alluding to with the Arsenal lads is all of them looked closer and more ready for the first team than our lot, physically imposing athletes with good technical ability.
Coady looked too slow and sluggish in comparrison and their black lad up front is streets ahead of any of ours.
